a memorial concert for the victims of the san bernardino mass shooting. it was attended by some of those who survived the attack and families of those who were killed. all the acts performed for free. the headliner was musician franky jay who says he was more than glad to be part of the tribute >> you just never know if it's going to be your turn or anything like that can happen to you >> 14 people were killed, 22 others wounded in the december 2nd terrorist attack. both suspects die in deed a shootout with police. a scare at a movie theater sent people running for their lives. this is cell phone video of the scene on christmas day. someone started screaming and shots were fired. the theater was evacuated as a precaution and turned out to be a prank. the person who started the panic got away southwest airline passengers are on a new plane after their flight was diverted to oakland

this afternoon. this is from the web site flight aware. track the flight as it took off from sacramento to denver and ran into some sort of problem and ended up circling over uba city and headed south and went to the oakland airport about 90 minutes ago. here's a live look at the airport. everyone on the flight is fine and there was a mechanical problem with the plane. this is the second diversion to oakland in the last week. on wednesday a chicago bound flight returned to oakland after takeoff to check an issue more than 6,000 customers without gas service. it spans from interstate 4 to vala 4 road. it could last until tomorrow. a live look now at san francisco's embarkadaro. showers are on their way. they were under a freeze warning

this morning. this was the scene in downtown lafayette. many people bumping up to get their sunday morning coffee. icy conditions forced crews to close portions of mount hamilton road, too. this is what it looked like on christmas day after it brought a dusting of show. bans of showers moving ashore and rain moving from west to east. there were some good cells that came in over the peninsula about 90 minutes ago. rain continues to fall with showers as well in the south bay. we'll get wet tonight and have a complete forecast showing changes ahead in a few minutes the death toll from the tornado outbreak near dallas, texas, rose to 11 today. two tornados ripped through the suburbs with speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. officials say the path of destruction stretches for 40 miles. hundreds of structures were

www.cbsfx.com icy weather in the bay area and that was evident looking at the mountain tops and going down to union square where folks got in the mood by taking to the ice. the ice we manufacture and refrigerate. boy, the weather certain lyly didn't match the ice skating today. especially for the kids. they're hanging on. not a bad job. in the bay area it's not the ice but the rain. we have the liquid form of water we have to worry about. doppler is showing a few white showers and headed into the central valley. you can see here and there there's a splash of rain coming down. they'll be more as the night goes on. you can see the band of showers that came through is headed into the central valley and dried up down in the south. there is more off shore as you can see coming in over the peninsula and the city. expect a fairly moist flow over the bay area and that'll produce showers from time to time.

we have temperatures in the mid-40s for all of the reporting stations right now. that you see on the screen at least. a fairly weak cold front will dry up tomorrow. expect the showers tonight and high pressure, big blocking ridge of high pressure will be over the inner mountain region and it'll clear up tomorrow and a dry week ahead. there's no more rain into 2016 and this is what the future cast bears out as well overnight tonight. you can see green means showers come in from time to time. 7 in the morning we'll have clouds and not much rain. by this time tomorrow night it's cleared out and once it does it'll stay that way through next weekend. in terms of amounts from the showers we get tonight 1300 in the cities and you know, a tenth by ukia. to sum it up showers overnight and it'll clear out tomorrow and maybe a lingering shower in the early hours and try through new
