bloomberg an independent told the "financial times" he's looking at all the options. bloomberg says he finds the level of discussion a quote, outrage and he said he would need to get on state ballots by the beginning of march. we'll discuss a possible bloomberg candidacy and primary with bob schieffer coming up on "cbs this morning" this morning. >> this morning two passenger trains collided in southern germany. police say at least four are dead and 150 injured, some seriously. the scene is chaotic and the final casualty count is unclear. the two regional trains collided

head on. one derailed and two overturned. some remain trapped in the wreckage. another winter storm packing snow, strong winds and bitter cold is moving to the northeast today and it could complicate voting in new hampshire. they're digging out from the latest blizzard that hit yesterday. some areas suffered hurricane-force winds and heavy snow. a charter bus overturned yesterday in the middle of a snowstorm as it was headed from new york city to cas ka see noe the royal caribbean cruise ship "anthem of the seas" is expected to dock tomorrow morning. i had to turn around mid cruise. florida senator bill nelson is calling for an investigation into why the ship sailed into a storm that had been forecast for days. jericka duncan reports.

>> reporter: 20-foot waves and winds over 100 miles an hour forced the cruise ship to make a u-turn one day after setting sale. george told us via skype his balcony door appeared to be lifting away from the frame. >> you called hear the waves twisting away from the hull and metal twisting. it was scary. >> reporter: they were heading to fort canaveral, florida, when it got caught in a storm. jarret johnson shot this video. >> at one point people were falling over and they were saying hold the wheelchair. so myself and others were standing over holding the wheelchair so they weren't going to be sliding around. >> reporter: while the worst is over, george is worried. >> we're rocking a lot and it makes me wonder if there are

issues with the stabilizer on the ship. >> royal caribbean said the ship experienced wind speeds higher than what was forecast. the coast guard reported winds up to 150 miles per hour when the storm hit. president obama wants congress to come up with nearly $2 billion to fight the zika virus. u.s. health officials say the money would be used to expand mosquito control, work on a vaccine and research on birthday defects that zika is said to cause. the president said there shouldn't be a panic on this. this morning kenya's olympic committee says kenya known for his middle and distance runners could pull out of the olympics over zika concerns. pentagon officials say the u.s. will help south korea employ a defans missile system. it will be designed to offset

the growing concerns over north korea. president obama told gayle king the dangers can't be ignored. >> this is an author tairian regime, provocative ifrmt's repeatedly violated u.n. resolutions and tested nuclear weapons and now they're trying to perfect their missile launch systems. >> they fear their missiles could carry nuclear weapons. >> an 8-year-old girl and three others are rescued after taiwan's earthquake. the death toll is 40 but that's expected to rise. officials think more than 100 people are trapped in the debris. well, coming up on the "morning news," halftime showdown. critics slammed beyonce for making a political statement on the super bowl stage. and later, a wave of record-setting shark attacks. this is the "cbs morning news." the flu virus hits big.

a celebration of the lunar new year turned violent in hong kong today. a crowd became angry when officials evicted street vendors. there were more than two dozen arrests and at least 44 officers were hurt. the violence the worst since a protest two years ago. beyonce's halftime sparks criticism. "the new york times" reports hackers claim they stole the records of nearly 30,000 fbi and homeland security workers. officials say e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and job titles were taken, but no sensitive information. they believe the hacker impersonated a government employee to gain access.

the "washington post" reports former new york leader rudy giuliani says beyonce's performance was offensive to police. beyonce performed at halftime with dancers dressed in tribute to the black panthers. it referred to the flooding in norns and tweeted stop shooting us. they claim this year's ceremony will be the most diverse ever but while presenters will hail from diverse backgrounds, it illustrated the lack of diversity among oscar contenders. all acting nominees are whiets and all best director nominees are men. "the daily news" report seeks an actor was prevented from flying because he refused to remove his turban for airport

craving for it. restaurants were closed so they could have a food safety meeting. regulators in india have shut down facebook's plan to offer free internet service. facebook planned to offer free internet to its basic service to a limited number of websites but indian regulators ruled that it violates net neutrality. facebook offers basic service in nearly 40 countries. starbucks is brugge us three special chocolate drinks in the days leading up to valentine's day. molten chocolate frappe, frappuccino, and hot chocolate. they're going to be sold at participating starbucks through february 14th. and this year's super bowl was the third most watched television event ever. 111.9 million people watched denver beat carolina in super bowl 50. that is actually down from the

oez a scary moment caught on camera in southern california. the roof covering the pumps of gas station collapses with two workers on top. one person was hurt. the other rode the wreckage down to safety. a car underneath was damaged by the falling awning. well, fresh off a super bowl win and likely his last nfl game, peyton manning got a warm welcome on disneyland's main street. manning made the same trip after the colts won the super bowl in 2006. the broncos' qb still hasn't announced whether or not he's retired. meantime the broncos touched down in denver monday afternoon after a night of celebrating in santa clara. the team took turns carrying that precious cargo off the plane, the lombardi trophy. cheering fans lined up around the airport and the team's facility. bjoeyoncbeyonce's super bow

halftime performance launched tweets. she posts this to facebook thanking airbnb for a great weekend. a few more shots on instagram show how swanky her stay with us at the los altos hills spot. according to tmz, beyonce paid about $10,000 a night for her stay. "the good wife" fans have just nine episodes left. a big farewell to the hit's cbs drama. the show's creators shocked fans during the super bowl with the announcement that the show is ends at a press conference monday. the creators said they only decided last week to end the show's successful seven-season run. here's something to cheer you up, though, "good wife" fans. a good mom at the national zoo. check out young panda bei bei trying to make his way up a tree. there's mom mei xiang pulling
