a slam dunk in south carolina. hillary clinton wins---but the real test for everybody comes on super tuesday. first tonight -- drivers on edge... after another deadly shooting on a busy bay area freeway. good evening, i'm veronica de la cruz. i'm brian hackney. that shooting happened on i-80 early this morning. the driver veered off the freeway and crashed near hilltop drive in richmond. kpix 5's jackie ward reports.. drivers are fed up with the violence. take sot: dandre bolden/richmond "the killing has to stop." drivers in the richmond/pinole area have had enough of the fatal killings happening along i-80. {map} since october *several shootings have occurred along the stretch of freeway from berkeley to vallejo. this time, a 40- year-old man was the victim. take sot: voice of officer daniel hill/chp "the jeep overturned several times and the driver was ejected. personnel from the richmond fire department arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased at approximately 1:43 this morning." take sot: frank stevenson/san pablo "of course, we're up and down the highway there quite often and you just cross your fingers and hope." those who drive this roadway frequently say they are continuing to be vigilant. being on guard is now part of the everyday routine...and some are now *urging those involved in the shootings to stop. take sot: dandre bolden/richmond "i understand because i'm in the

clinton. she soundly defeated bernie sanders in the south carolina democratic primary today. clinton was expected to have a strong showing. but now the focus turns to what's perhaps the most important date in the bernie sanders in the primaries, clinton was - - craig boswell will show us how all eyes are now on super tuesday. she has back to back wins, taking south carolina. clinton ran away with the presidential primary.

room. he was at a cancer center spearheading a - - a new a new initiative aimed at eradicating cancer. they said 1.6 million new cancer diagnosis will be made this year. a deadly car crash near downtown los angeles. they shut down both sides of interstate 5, most of the eight cars involved were destroyed. and we saw the aftermath of the violent crash. >> evidence markers cluttered the freeway after a six car crash killed three people around midnight when this dodge challenger and dodge charger were racing southbound on the freeway going at least 90 miles per hour.

anaheim for a rally. three people were stabbed. by the time it was over, a dozen people were arrested. one person was stabbed in the upper torso by one of the klansmen. it is believed that he was stabbed with a flagpole. >> the guys from the clan took off and the fight escalated down the street. >> the crime scene stretched an entire city block. search teams are going to be out in the morning looking for a missing canoe were. they were visiting trekkie. they were likely not wearing life jackets.

migrants on the gulf of mexico today. the migrants will be heading over to mexican officials at their next stop in cozumel. they are hosting a tour from the pennsylvania sports team. a pilot was stuck inside of a plane and it took four hours to get him out. the plane will stay in the tree until the end of the investigation. >> the park service is pulling items off store shelves because of a trademark dispute. they say they own commercial rights for that name.

they planned plan to sell items that say just yosemite instead of the full parkview. - - full part name. the area is known for fog but there is less of it and the lack of fog is actually threatening a national icon. it is a common site in san francisco, fog envelops the golden gate bridge. a marine layer covers the pacific. most days this is what the coastline looks like, clear skies, much less fog along the coast. mike has been studying coastal weather data for 30 years. >> we are seeing major climate change
