the jihadees, quote, those bastards know what they're doing. >> allen pizzey with the latest in brussels. allen, thanks. apparently iranian hackers knew what they were doing when they attacked more than 40 u.s. banks and tried to open the floodgates of a new york dam. those were the allegations today from the justice department which announced indictments. this is the first time that individuals working for a foreign government have been charged with cyberattack on u.s. infrastructure. here is kris van cleave. >> reporter: federal investigators say over the course of several weeks in 2013 one of the iranian hackers repeat lead gained access to computers controlling key systems of this dam, 29 miles from manhattan. the dam was out of service at the time. had it been operational the hacker could have controlled its walter level and flow rate. attorney general loretta lynch. >> these attacks were relentless, systematic and

>> announcer: this is the "cbs overnight news." welcome to the "cbs overnight news." i'm jerika duncan. the manhunt continues in belgium for two suspects leaded to the deadly terror attacks in brussels. bombs at the airport and train station left more than 30 people dead and hundreds more wounded. but it could have been worse, there are reports that two of the suicide bombers originally úf. a police raid uncovered ten hours of videos, the pair shot of a senior official in belgium's nuclear industry. meanwhile the men at the heart of the brussels and paris terror attacks says he is ready to tell his side of the story. salah abdeslam will not fight extradition to france. charlie d'agata has more. >> reporter: the sadness of the

senseless tragedy that has overwhelmed this country is fast giving way to anger that it could have been avoided. already the investigation has begun revealing a catalog of mistakes and missed opportunities that may have cost lives. the alleged bomb maker, najim laachraoui on the top of the list of suspects. thought to be the man on the left in the security picture he apparently managed to evade the manhunt and get to airport with a suitcase packed full of explosives and blow himself up. two suicide bombers, and brothers alike, ibrahim el bakraoui and khalid el bakraoui, now reports indicate both men may have been part of a plan to target a nuclear facility. manhunts are now under way for the last unidentified suspect at the airport. the man in the hat. and accomplice to the train bomber who belgian media reports is depicted in this drawing. the suspects of the twin attacks have been linked to the alleged paris attackers, salah abdeslam. who has been behind bars since

his arrest last week. his lawyer, sven mary spoke with us after the hearing. >> he wants to go back to france. i think it's whatever. he had to go back to france. it changed his point of view. the beginning. he wanted -- that, that -- extradition to france took some more time. he changed his mind. >> reporter: a growing sense that abdeslam ee capture served for a trigger of the terror cell to strike the brussels airport and train station in the center of the capital in near simultaneous suicide attacks. and yet, another development, turkey is now saying that its security forces grabbed ibrahim el bakraoui, one of the suicide bombers at the airport, at the border with syria last sum r and warned belgian authorities that he was "a foreign terrorist fighter."

investigators are learning more about the sophisticated bombs used in the attacks. allen pizzey has the details. >> reporter: the bombs they set off were designed to reach max mull casualties. used tatp, and the mother of satan. tuesday in brussels. 33 pounds of it and bomb making materials and 150 liters of acetate, water, suitcase of nails and screws were found in an apartment used by the bombers. most hideous ingredients nails and screws. this x ray shows a bolt embedded in the chest of a victim. the scene of the airport was worse than anything he dealt with during a tour in afghanistan, the military nurse said. >> war injuries. a lot of bleedings, by shrapnel. legs were ripped off. things like that. you wouldn't normally see that.

the owner of the atlanta falcons is joining the growing chorus of critics opposing georgia's proposed religious liberty law. it could cost him a super bowl in his new stadium. the bill would allow companies to reap fufuse to hire or serve people because of their sexual orientation. the governor hasn't said whether he will sign the deal. david begnaud reports. >> it is all about business. you have entertainment come pans that will rekid doing business in georgia. the nfl. atlanta falcons. play at the georgia dome and have for years. on this side they're building mercedes-benz stadium. $1.4 billion project that the falcons owner hopes will bring the super bowl back to atlanta. those chances could be sacked if
