and bay fair have been stopped. you have to take a bus bridge around. today's game had a 5:00 start so b.a.r.t. earlier warned fans they should build in 30 to 50 extra minutes. as game time approached, a spokesman said there were no significant delays unless you're a diehard fan for whom every second of the game is suf. >> unfortunately we were delayed. i thought i was going to be on time for the game. >> a little late. >> more than a little. i'm disappointed because i'm missing the tip-off. >> we're back live. now there are two bridges on the east bay, the one in north concord at the end of the line and the other one here at the next station up, san leandro station. b.a.r.t. says the work is going according to plan so they expect that section will be reopened by tomorrow morning's commute. >> we shall see. joe vazquez live tonight. vern glenn is there too. we'll check in with him in a few minutes. a teen is recovering after being trapped in a trench when a house caved in.

it happened about 10:25 this morning. crews in oakland got a call about the foundation of a home that caved. when they arrived on scene they found a 17-year-old boy trapped under concrete at the bottom of a trench. in order to free him, they had to get creative. >> we were able to anchor off the corner of the house and slide the concrete slabs off the individual. we were able to extricate him. >> the homeowners said they hired the teen to do construction work. he's being treated at a nearby hospital as a precaution for possible crushed syndrome. police are asking for your help to find 57-year-old miguel perez reyes, last seen in the 1100 block of steiner street. doesn't speak much english and has the mental capacity of a child. investigators say his caregiver left him with her boyfriend but when she returned, both men were gone. according to melissa meyer,

she found two razor blades inside a package of easter grass. she says the bag wasn't opened or torn when we bought it. meyer claims she has called police. campaign 2016 now. donald trump is leading the republican pack and the delegate count toward the nomination. a recent poll for the upcoming california primary shows him with a comfortable lead here in our state too. kpix 5's john ramos found not all republicans are fully onboard. >> reporter: it seems shocking to many in the bay area donald trump has a double digit lead in the california gop primary race. but at this republican women's luncheon in orinda, the news had a more mixed reaction. >> it is kind of surprising, california expects people to be a little more open minded. >> i'm not surprised at all. we're tired of what's going on in the politics. we want somebody fresh that can do the job. and i have faith in him. >> reporter: this room seemed to mirror the gop statewide.

a lot of people intend to vote for trump but they don't seem very thrilled about it. >> i'm concerned about the republican party with him in there but we have no choice. that's my theory. >> push comes to shove, i'll have to hold my nose and vote for somebody. but i'll vote for trump before i'll vote for hillary. >> i actually like him, but he says appalling things. >> reporter: earl turner says his vote for trump will be a matter of faith, faith there's another more reasonable side to the man that we never get to see, but just in case, there is a backup plan. >> as some trump supporters have said, well, we like to try him out, and if he's no good, we'll fire him in four years. >> perhaps it's not surprising a political system that is so frustrating could create nominees from both parties who aren't even liked by many of their own supporters. but that's where we are. >> it's the worst election season that i've ever seen in my lifetime and i'm 85. >> reporter: in orinda, john

ramos, kpix 5. >> by the way, in the poll by the public policy institute of california, trump has the support of about 38% of likely voters in the june primary, ted cruz with 19%. the poll was taken before marco rubio dropped out of the race. on the democratic side, hillary clinton got about 48% of support in the california primary. bernie sanders is at 41%. to pakistan now where 67 people were killed in a suicide bombing today. bombs ripped through a crowded park in the city center of lujore. a splinter faction of the taliban is taking responsibility for the attack, saying they purposely targeted christians. facebook is issuing an apology. it has a feature that allows you to check in and let your friends know you're safe after a tragedy. in this case users as far away as new york were asked if they were okay. the company blames it on a bug.

police in belgium carried out more than a dozen raids and made several arrests today as riot police crashed with hundreds of protesters. kenneth craig reports it happened at the memorial for the victims of last week's bombing. >> reporter: police suited up in riot gear and used water canons on hungry of angry protesters that invaded a brussels memorial for the victims of tuesday's attacks. this woman broke down in tears as the quiet and somber vigil erupted in to chaos. this is the same place thousands of people have come over the last couple of days to honor and mourn the dead. until now they've done that peacefully. that all changed on sunday. we are crying for our deaths, this woman shouted at a man dressed in black. a group of far right wing demonstrators including self-described soccer hooligans descended on the spot after organizers canceled a march there. >> they have a message they want to stop terrorism but they're not doing it the right way.

to another car. that driver died on impact. another person involved in the crash was hurt but is expected to survive. a quick cleanup at san leandro park before easter sunday after a vandal marred it with racist graffiti. police found racial slurs on the amphitheater wall at san leandro merino park last night. a city crew quickly removed it. police believe the vandalism was also gang-related. dozens of firearms are in the wrong hands after another gun store burglary, this time in southern california. it happened in ventura around 4:00 this morning. an alarm was set off at the red seals arms gun store. when police arrived they found the thieves had backed a big rig in to the front of the store and they ransacked the place. >> that's amazing to me looking at it right now, these guys must have really wanted the guns. >> and the store owner says the burglars made off with 15 guns. a high ranking u.s. navy captain will spend nearly four

years in prison in the biggest corruption case in the navy's history. navy captain daniel dusek told the judge he could never forgive himself for using his influence to send ships to malaysia. the company that controlled the ports would overcharge the navy for fuel, food, and other services and in exchange dusek would be rewarded with prostitutes, vacations, booze, meals, and cash. >> it was intricate and pervasive. it involved a lot of people. as i mentioned, valued recently at $34.8 million. >> so far 10 others are charged in the bribery scandal including five naval officials. still ahead, big problems, tiny solution. how one bay area county is planning to tackle homelessness. >> a change in the weather tonight. we'll see where it all leads with the forecast, which is coming up after a break.

growing around the bay area. one county is about to try something new. with the issue of homelessness growing around the bay area, one county is going to try something new. sonoma county is planning on turning this stretch of government-owned land in to a stretch of tiny homes for the homeless. more than 30 proposals have been floated. one of them, solar powered expandable trailers, each able to house three people. >> to see the site with the south facing exposure, i just came to life thinking of what a great place to use our solar powered mobile sustainable units. >> there's no price tag yet for the two-year pilot project. that will come after county officials take a look at the

bids this spring. if you've ever wanted to own a town, here's your chance. all you need is $8 million. the place is called calnovari. the owner is selling the 500 acre town for $8 million. included is a casino, diner, convenience store, small motel, rv park and mile-long dirt stretch. on this easter sunday a joyful celebration at san francisco's glide memorial church. with the choir on cue, thousands of people packed in to glide today. after the service, many stuck around to help feed those in need. church leaders say volunteers feed 3,000 to 5,000 people. the church served free food year-round. >> almost 50% of the people who we serve meals to are housed. they have shelter. and many of them have jobs but they can't afford to buy food

and to make ends meet. >> church leaders say they need more volunteers because the number of people who come to them for help is growing. >> the weather report tonight, winds probably in the headlines. got gusts up to 40 miles per hour at the airport. a windy night in the bay area. not much in the way of rain. we have a look toward mount diablo toward dublin. you see the trees being whipped around a little bit by the winds out there. in livermore right now, winds are out of the west to 16. 36 miles per hour. numbers, upper 50s, low 60s right now. still be a little bit breezy and temperatures start out monday morning near 50 degrees but it should be dry. high pressure relaxes for the next couple of days and that low that's deepening over the great basin keeps it breezy and cool through tuesday then the high will build back in. the latter half of the week looks sunny and warmer. if you want drama, take a look at the futurecast. those brighter red colors show where we have the stronger

winds. you'll notice they both spread south overnight tonight. still be breezy tomorrow morning. we'll stop this by 2:00 in the afternoon. along the shoreline the red colors mean near 30 miles per hour at half moon bay. inland, it's not going to be quite as windy but in general a breezy monday. northwesterly, take the clouds out and there's a few little popup showers well offshore. still there's a small chance we could get a drop or two along the shoreline. wouldn't amount to anything. rest of the day on monday looks mostly sunny. with a few clouds forming by sunset. breezy. it will be on the chilly side tomorrow. the coolest day of the week with temperature highs only in the low to mid 60s. and just a slight sprinkle chance which i'm saying mostly to cover myself. it will be warming up by midweek. as we head toward the weekend, the numbers will be nudging 70 degrees. heading out of the bay area, snow in the mountains. temperature high tomorrow,

freezing. along the shoreline, partly cloudy skies. overnight lows tonight will be in the 40s. sun up tomorrow, straight on 7:00. and then the extended forecast, we get a breezy start to the week with temperatures tomorrow just in the low 60s and tuesday and wednesday the numbers warm in to the mid 60s. thursday and friday, increasing sunshine, and that will lead to temperatures topping out in to the low 70s by saturday and sunday. around the bay, numbers will be in the mid 60s for the most part. looks like a pretty good start to the week. standing out in the elements tonight, vern glenn reporting live. >> hey. the warriors are getting theirs inside of oracle. and i'm getting mine. i've got the day wrapped up in sports. you're going to want to see it in a jiffy. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
