live from the cbs bay area studios, this is kpix news. >> raindrops washing out saturday plans all around the bay and we are not done yet. >> a day of nearly non-stop rain leading to disasters like this one. take a look. a large oak tree crashing into a home on loveel avenue in mill valley. no one was hurt, but it damaged a deck and took out some power lines. the roads treacherous for drivers. this car flapping over on the slick roadway. another car ended up running off the road on highway 101. dodging raindrops in a sea of umbrellas was just part of

getting around. shoppers scurrying for fresh groceries and trying to stay dry. let's take a look now at our golden gate bridge live pictures. you see wet roadways, gray skies as the winter rains bleed into spring. >> a long thin band of moderate showers falling on the central bay in the city. the brighter colors showing the stronger cells. that's why the heaviest rain is falling now. look where it's all coming from. on the top side of the southern california lull. this is all screaming toward the west toward the shore. a weird direction for the weather to be coming from. gray skies hangover the bay area. promising more to come. we'll detail what should be a wet sunday. president obama saw our wet weather, but now he is first daughter malia are heading back to the nation's capitol.

they spent about 24 hours in the bay area raising money. mark kelly says he squeezed in a little golf. >> reporter: the olympic club is world famous. but the leader of the free world playing here is still a spectacle. >> i was practicing and he rolls around. >> reporter: the president did not have great golfing weather. a steady drizzle and heavy fog hung over the course all morning. >> he better have a good caddy to help him reach the green. that's a real problem. >> reporter: the president can't control the weather, but it's secret service can maintain the crowd putting other golfers on a two-hour delay. >> he has the course all to himself. >> he's got it made. >> that's the best part of his golfing today. >> reporter: but members hardly complained about having to wait

surveillance video seen next to suicide bombers in the brussels airport. he is also linked to the paris attacks last november. he was caught on a gas station security camera two days before the coordinated massacre in the french capital. 32 people died last month at the airport and a brussels subway station. authorities say one of the suspects in custody is osama [ indiscernible ] he's accused of being the second man at the deadly train station attack. more raids saturday as a look for additional accomplices and look to counter fierce criticism they haven't done enough to battle terrorism. >> belgium's prime minister says -- in san francisco, a fight over a seat on muni cost an elderly man his life. the man got into an argument

with a woman over a seat on a bus they'd just gotten off at kearney and gary streets. the man suffered a heart attack and died. wet roads may have cost a driver his life in oakland. the car flipped over and the man was ejected. he died at the scene this. accident caused more trouble along the off ramp. >> vehicles were stopped and people were looking around. when they were looking around, they weren't paying attention and they crashed into each other. >> there were no major injuries in the second accident. two men who allegedly threatened to kill a dave and buster's security guard are behind bars. during a search of their car, police found cocaine, a 9- millimeter resolver and a

knife. contreras is facing drug charges. a man calls using the name edward or jeffrey johnson claiming to the a police officer. then the caller i.d. resembles the police non- emergency line. the scammer tries to blackmail the victims over alleged nude photos. they warn people if you get such a call to call the police. a texas teacher caught on camera repeatedly slapping a student. the criminal charges she's facing. >> his grand mocha came with a side of rudeness. the snide remark a barista added to one man's order. ,,

candidates are in a turf war over new york. brooklyn native bernie sanders believes he's within striking distance of beating hillary clinton. >> over the last 11 months, things have changed. >> reporter: while stopping here in new york city, sanders notched another win in the wyoming caucuses. clinton has been campaigning in her adopted state for the past few days. >> i actually think new york values are really good for america. >> reporter: ted cruz left new york for colorado where he's expected to wrap up all of the state's 37 delegates. if elected, he promised to get government out of the way of business. >> we're going to see millions and millions of new high-paying jobs. we're going to see jobs coming back to america. >> reporter: john kasich spoke

he and a passenger led l.a.p.d. on a chase for 90 minutes. they were booked on suspicion of burglary. a man who scaled a massive rock in morr obey is now speaking out about his daring marriage proposal and the crews who spoiled it. this is the thursday rescue of michael banks. he climbed the rocks to record a proposal. he had no idea his climb was illegal. >> i shouted out to the firearm. i said is there a problem because you guys are rolling in by the number right now and i don't understand what's going on. >> a helicopter plucked banks off the rock and delivered him to authorities. in the pacific, three cast aways caught a lucky break because they spelled help with

good showers from time to time. fairly heavy cell getting ready to move from san ramon. north up to almost lafayette. and a good number of showers on the east bay shoreline. the low over southern california begins to push inland. all the activity will subside to the south. in the south bay, not much right now. it is a weird day when concord, walnut creek get 5 times more rain that the boulder creek in the santa cruz mountains. you know that you don't often see showers coming from that direction, but that's what's happening tonight. you can also notice they're beginning to ease up from the north and head south. as we look down at a wet parking lot in dublin, we strive to show you it is wet out there and we're not making it up. 60 in oakland. in liver more, 61 degrees. out the door tomorrow morning,

we'll have a few more showers around favoring the south bay. later in the day, we'll begin to dry it out. there's that low that's a beam -- pretty much santa barbara. as it kicks inland, we'll get more top side showers coming up from the south and east. showers will sink south with it. ben lowman -- just a 5th of an inch of rain. walnut creek, 5 times more. in liver more, 63-hundredths. at sfo, almost half an inch of rain. two-thirds at sauce liteo. so good little soaking from this. here's what it looks like as we head into the future. shower activity by 8:00 tomorrow morning confined to fair field. watch it sink south and out of
