on the weather and it isn't over yet. >> a long thin band of moderate showers falling on the central bay and the city. brighter colors show the stronger cells. that's why the heaviest rain is falling right now. to the south, not much rain is falling at the moment. but look where it's all coming from. it's all streaming from the west toward the shore. in the meantime, gray skies are hanging over the bay area in san jose which will begin to increase its rain falling in the next couple of hours. we'll detail what should be a wet sunday in a few minutes. this weekend's weather is doing damage of all kinds of slick roads caused accidents on all highways. even flipping this vehicle on to its side. this car in mill valley got banged up when an oak tree came

>> reporter: belgian prosecutors finally have the so- called man in the hat. he's one of the terror suspects rounded up in raised and brussels on friday. during interrogation, authorities say he admitted he's the person in surveillance video seen next to the suicide bombers in the brussels airport. he is also linked to the paris attacks last november. he was caught on a gas station security camera two days before the coordinated massacre in the french capital. he is one of 4 men charged in belgium for participating in the terrorist attacks. authorities say one of the suspects in custody is osama [ indiscernible ] he's accused of being the second man at the deadly train station attack. they look for additional accomplices and work to counter fierce criticism they haven't done enough to battle

terrorism. cbs news, london. >> belgium's prime more says the investigation will be helped by plans to recruit 1,000 more officers for the federal police force. two men were arrested after police say one of them threatened a security guard. ronald martinez is charged with suspicion of making criminal threats. in san francisco, an elderly man lost his life after a heated argument over a muni seat. police say the 75 year old man got into an argument with a woman about a seat on a bus they had just gotten off. moments into the feud, the man had a heart attack and died. a year and a half after that magnitude 6 earthquake in napa, the vintner's [ indiscernible ] reopened today.

driver who was another twist in the wild police chase that played out in l.a. this week. it turns out the driver who was making all these doughnuts on hollywood boulevard used to be a tactical driver for the u.s. marines. hershel reynolds was premature discharged in january. he and a passenger led the police on a chase for 90 minutes. they were booked on suspicion of burglary. cyclists and pedestrians are getting a 36-mile path way to call their own. the smart project finally got

number of closures until june. bernie sanders and ted cruz pick up wins in the west as the presidential candidates look toward new york's primary on the 19th. the democratic candidates are in a turf war over new york. bernie sanders believes he is within striking distance of beating hillary clinton. >> over the last 11 months things have changed. >> reporter: while stopping here in new york city, sanders notched another win in the wyoming caucuses. clinton has been campaigning in her adopted state for the past few days where she and sanders have been battling over issues like the minimum wage. >> i actually think new york's values are really good for america. >> reporter: ted cruz left new york for colorado where he's expected to wrap up all of the state's 37 delegates. if elected, he promised to get government out of the way of

>> light rain being reported from santa rosa in the north down to mountain view in the south. you can see that the heavier cells are not that heavy really. not exactly a wash out. from liver moore in the east, down to san mateo. get a little bit of coverage from all this rain as this high def doppler loop shows us. that lop is moving out toward the bay area. uncharacteristic direction. so not freezing temperatures. temperatures are near 60 degrees. at the door tomorrow morning, we still have a few showers lingering around the bay area with temperatures beginning in the low-50s. just like what we had today, on again, off again. a few more showers tomorrow. that low you see off shore is going to kick inland. we'll get what we have been getting. that is top side moisture

heading into the bay area from the east. it's a rare day in april when you've got three times as much rain in walnut creek as ben loman. half an inch in santa rosa and two-thirds in sausalito. you can see a few pop-up showers heading into the early morning hours of sunday morning. you can see in the east bay shoreline down into the south bay there's light rain as we begin sunday morning. north bay, just some clouds. no big rain maker tomorrow, but fairly overcast skies. future cast shows low pressure up in the gulf of alaska. this is a more characteristic direction. weak cold front coming down from the north. that will give us showers maybe wednesday. more clouds, showers through early monday. then we'll dry it out later on monday and tuesday. rain chances late wednesday.
