a foot race. by that i mean, most people were still running. it had 92-year-old saul mathelon a bit envious. she says she doesn't dare stop coming here. >> if i stop, i won't start up again. >> reporter: gradually, it came to a crawl again. while some, like this human foosball table took a lot of imagination, others left almost nothing to it. there were presidents and a few who would like to be, and one guy was feeling the bern in a big way. >> he's huge. utah got to represent the best you can. >> reporter: donald trump finally got that wall built. floats aren't allowed anymore

year-old isaac mukondi of texas. it appears that swarm of aggressive bees in concord has been eradicated. some bees are still buzzing, but in much fewer numbers. a beekeeper set a temporary hive to attract the bees and destroy them. even with some still buzzing, police are telling walkers to watch out. two dogs were killed by the bees. we'll have a live report at 6:00. in san jose, a complex problem with no easy solution. kpix 5's devin feely on how the city is giving serious thought to the growing problem of homelessness. >> it hurts me to see people live like this. >> reporter: he has spent a decade, basically his entire adult life, homeless. >> you don't know who is around

you. >> reporter: much like he struggled to escape homelessness, the city of san jose has struggled to help the estimated 6500 people like him who find themselves on the street each night. >> the ultimate goal, is permanent housing. they have services that are attached to support the homeless population. >> reporter: organize the this town hall meeting in large part to complaints about encampments popping up in their neighborhoods. >> it's going to be a safety issue at that point. not just for the residents, but also the new tenants coming in. there wasn't transparency. >> reporter: homelessness in the shadow of silicon valley. until you ask those trying to escape, its grip. >> give them housing. shelters ain't going to do it.

programs ain't going to do it. the battle between san francisco and chicago over george lucas's museum has been fierce. but the windy city is losing strength, and the city by the bay gets another shot at it from the mayor. >> reporter: the force may be with san francisco after all. >> i've never given up. i keep calling him saying, george, we're still open. >> reporter: now mayor ed lee says "star wars" creator, george lucas is thinking of building his museum on treasure island. the site facing the city's downtown skyline is already approved for development. >> if we have a chance to bring him back, i want to be open and positive about it. >> reporter: the prequel to this latest development, lucas was originally hoping to build

the development in the presidio, but that fight went to the dark side with the trustees who oversea the land. then lucas tried to make his dream come true in chicago along lake michigan, but has been running into legal and political problems there too. >> he just wants to make sure you dent have to go through a very difficult process, as he's done twice already. >> reporter: working on the environment review process. as for the cost, lucas has previously offered to put up about $700 million. >> perhaps, the lucas museum could be the special. >> reporter: spoke about how the museum could change treasure island's future for good. >> if we could actually have an attraction on treasure island, it might be able to sustain a ferry service. if we could sustain that, we could make the entire island work. >> reporter: the next step would be to negotiate a lease for the site, and start

neighborhood. attacking and eating household pets and chickens. >> reporter: it's becoming a common occurrence. coyotes roaming through people's backyards, perhaps looking for food. a man recorded these two coyotes yesterday in the popular oakmore neighborhood. less than a a mile away, a surveillance camera picked up two more on a sidewalk. >> we had nine chickens. now we have eight. >> reporter: marietta says the coyote ate one of her chickens last week. >> we heard a lot of ruckus. >> reporter: the coyote came back for more. >> he was just right here. my very brave little dog, george, chased him out of the yard. i was surprised at how bold it was. it wasn't going to move unless george chased it out. >> reporter: neighbors believe the coyotes killed at least two

of the rotation..but last n, eat arizona, and the biggest question for the giants in the first month and a half this season has been the back half of the rotation. last night, jake peavy beat arizona, and today, matt cain delivered his second quality start of the week. scoreless in the 3rd, trevor brown tees off on d'backs pitcher ruby de la rosa. fourth home run in just 46 at- bats this season for trevor brown. 1-0 san francisco. tied at 1 in the 6th. matt cain loaded them up, but got the pop up to end the inning. he has allowed 3 earns runs in

last last three starts, but remains winless. hunter pence will beat the throw. the giants take a 2-1 lead. the runners at the corners. rickie weeks appears to have grounded into the game ending double play. but the call is safe at first base. a run scores to tie the game, but the review shows brandon belt stayed on the bag. game over. the giants sweep the diamondbacks and lead the nl west by one half game. throwing out the first pitch in tampa bay. grant balfor retired last month. solo shot in the 1st inning. a's lead 1-0. sunny gray trying to get back on track. he struggled. the ray's right fielder, hit a three run home run. his second of the game to give tampa a 4-1 lead.

top of the 5th now. the rays up 5-2. valencia strikes again. a two run shot. his second multihome run game of the season. evan longoria, that's his 7th of the year. gray allows 6 runs, 3 earned. valencia, to the rescue. with the a's down to their final out. he hits a two run home run to give oakland the lead. his third home run of the game, fifth of the series. he had zero before this weekend. the a's beat the rays 7-6. jose batista's bat last postseason did not sit too well with the rangers. the bad blood continued today. bautista hard into second. to breakup the double play. you know when you see major league fights right? nothing ever happens.
