and donald trump is waking up to a new scandal this morning. today for his high praise for saddam hussein. what he says the former iraq dictator did so good. >> he did that so good. a u.s. navy officer is under investigation this morning, after this video surfaces, showing him pointing a gun at two teens. >> [ bleep ]. >> no, you can't. good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. this morning, an investigation is under way into a deadly police shooting in baton rouge, louisiana. a police officer shot and killed the suspect following a confrontation early tuesday morning. this video allegely showing the incident early tuesday was

posted online. police say two officers respond to do a complaint from a caller about a man selling cds. an altercation between the officers and 37-year-old suspect alton sterling. there was a scuffle and one officer pulled his gun. sterling died at the scene. a preliminary autopsy indicates he died of multiple gunshot wound to the chest and back. >> he didn't deserve to be shot like that. period. at all. >> reporter: sterling's sister wants answers. she says her brother has been selling cds outside the store for years. >> i really want to know more about what happened, about the whole situation, because my brother didn't deserve it. he didn't deserve it at all, not one bit. >> reporter: protesters gathered at the scene beginning late

yesterday and the crowd grew through the night. police say the investigation will look at all angles. >> we are going to review the video and we are going to review the audio. we have witnesses, nonbiased witnesses here and we are going to bring them down to our station and interview them. >> reporter: both officers have been placed on administrative leave. most protesters are expected today and the baton rouge police say they will be holding a press conference later this morning. extremely careless. that is how fbi director james comey describe hillary clinton's handling of e-mails on her private server. the fbi did not recommend charges for clinton, but comey issued a stinging criticism of clinton's actions and late last night, house republicans indicated they would call comey to testify about the decision not to press charges. hena daniels is here in new york. >> reporter: good morning. director comey says there were e-mails on clinton's server that contained classified information that could have easily been hacked. now her likely opponent donald trump is saying the system is rigged and clinton got away

with, quote, murder. >> we have a rigged system, folks. >> reporter: campaigning in north carolina yesterday, donald trump refused to move past hillary clinton's e-mail scandal. despite the fbi's skidecision n to recommend charges depends her. >> she is laughing at the stupidity of our system. she is laughing and so is her husband bill. >> reporter: trump continued his attacks on twitter, saying the, quote, rigged system allowed clinton to get away with murder. while the fbi could not support bringing charges, fbi director james comey did criticize clinton and her aides for being extremely careless. >> every reasonable person in secretary clinton's person should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. >> reporter: the fbi announcement came hours before clinton campaigned alongside president obama for the first time. clinton trashed trump's fitness to be president. >> can you imagine him sitting

and making noise outside of his house in a washington suburb. they taunt him, while one of them records the incident. the woman talking on the phone is apparently his wife. >> get in the car! >> let go! >> be thankful you have a gun. >> reporter: his name is car neg onasi. recipient of two military service awards. >> i'm on my property. >> reporter: we don't know if the gun is loaded but he is threatening to use it. >> no, you can't. >> reporter: shortly after the incident last month, the mother of the young man in the cap filed a complaint. onasi was briefly taken into custody but no charges have been filed against him. the investigation remains open. the navy learned of the incident when shown the video by cbs news. they said it's working to understand the full details of
