americans to create change. as funerals for three of the five dallas officers ambushed began today president obama will meet with law enforcement and civil rights leaders to discuss ways to repair the bonds of trust. tuesday during a public memorial service the president applauded the fallen officers for their bravery and sacrifice. >> these men and their families shared a commitment to something larger than themselves. >> reporter: the president then addressed fears gripping a nation caught in a bitter debate over policing over the killings of two black men. he made a plea for common ground. >> surely we should be able to hear the pain of alton sterling's family just as we should hear the students describe afiction for philando
