-- him. >> we lost one friend during the terrorist attack. two nights ago. >> emotions are running high for friends looking for nick. two days after the truck attack still no sign of him. >> the last time anyone saw him he was running away from this truck. his friends who survived the attack are searching for him passing out flyers but the search took a turn today. one of his friends says the french police detained ten students. they said officers man handled the students took their phones and took them to the station. they later apologized and released them. >> the police weren't helping us at all. we printed flyers and we've been in touch with the american consulate. >> he's a 20-year-old junior one of 85 students study abroad in nice. three other students were

affecting berkeley students this month. another student was killed in an attack in bang re desh -- bangladesh. she started in 2015 pursuing a degree in economics she was in bangladesh doing a summer internship through the university. now to turkey where thousands flooded into a city square for a second straight night chanting support for their government. a short lived military coup attempt failed yesterday but not before more than 250 people were killed. the president says they will pay a heavy price. he's pointing the finger at this man from exile in pennsylvania he condemned the group but turkey wants him extradited to face charges. the u.s. says they will need to see proof of hiss involvement -- his involvement first.

an airplane landed in istanbul this morning. flight operations are slowly returning to normal there. about when we spoke with passengers at sfo last night many were surprised that the flight was taking off. >> we don't know what's going to happen. but no one can tell us what's going on so we have to, you know, trust the company and whatever they told us. >> i don't -- i mean i'm not comfortable but what can we do? >> as for incoming flights from turkey might be a while. the faa banned all flights from turkey until things calm down a little bit and that includes flights traveling through a third country. a 3-year-old girl who went to the dentist this morning is in the hospital tonight. jackie ward is on the scene. >> we don't know many details

but we do know a 3-year-old girl came to this office building for a dentist appointment and left in an ambulance. san ramon police got here around 10:30 this morning. >> my officers receive add call about a juvenile that had some complications in a dental procedure. san ramon fire was on scene performing cpr. >> i mean i didn't talk to the mother but obviously anybody would be disstrauth. paramedics brought the girl to the medical center for further treatment. and we still don't know her condition. kpix 5. >> san ramon police are expected to release more information this weekend. golden state warriors legend nate thurmond died today. he was 74. thurmond was voted one of the 50 greatest players in nba

history. he was a member of the warriors for more than four decades first as a player and then as a community relations ambassador. the warriors said he represented this franchise with class, dignity, and humility. without a doubt he is one of the most beloved figures to wear a warrior's uniform. his former teammate rick berry added his legacy is one of passion, fierce competitiveness and selfless devotion to others. my prayers go to his family, friends and fans. his jersey is one of six the warriors ever retired. he would have turned 75 this month. the campaign 2016 donald trump introduced mike pence as his running mate. >> so i'm here today to introduce the man who will be my partner in this campaign and

tonight accused of trying to follow a woman home with a collection of weapons in the car. ron jones on the move she made that turned the tables. >> the one thing you do not want to do according to police, drive home. . investigators say late sunday evening a woman noticed someone following close behind. it made her feel uneasy so she called 9 # 1 and got dispatchers on the line. >> melissa and elissa heard about it on the facebook page. >> i called my husband. i'd be freaking out a little bit. i would want to direct them somewhere else. >> with the victim on the phone dispatchers directed her here to the police department's parking lot. >> that would be really scary. >> with officers waiting for her arrival they say robert anton was following close

paramedics were called around 10:30 this morning and found the little girl unresponsive. they performed cpr on her before taking her to the hospital. no word on her condition or what went wrong. a new tryst twist -- twist on the missing uc berkeley student in nice. . less lee was with a group of students he's the only one still missing after the terror attack. he was running away from the scene last time anyone saw him. donald trump is a good man and he will make a great president of the united states of america. . . donald trump understands the frustrations and the hopes of the american people like no leader since ronald reagan.

turkish investigators want to talk to a cler rick living in pennsylvania -- clerk living in pennsylvania. >> they chanted support for their democratic government. the outpouring of emotion follows friday's failed coup attempt led by a faction of the military using tanks and gun fire. istanbul's airport and major bridges were shut down. but turkey's president urged people to rise up and fill the streets, and that's exactly what they did. daylight showed the damage. batter buildings, crushed cars, and bodies lying in the street. turkey's government has already arrested or fired thousands of troops and judges and is calling for the extradition of exiled cleric ghoulan. >> from his compound he denied any involvement in the coup and claimed he no longer follows

before joining the dallas force. he was 32 years old and was married with a daughter and a stepson. police in atlanta arrested a former officer today accused of killing a black man without cause when he was still on the force. police were checking out a report of a suspicious man in a parking lot last month when 22- year-old devarus rogers pulled his car out from the wrong side of the street. james burns was still an officer at that time and tried to block him and shot him in the head. but the da thinks he posed no threat. >> there's no reason that this boy, this 20-year-old kid didn't make it home or at least to jail. >> the force the officer used was not reasonable or necessary. >> atlanta police fired burns earlier this month saying they couldn't stand by the shooting. investigators say the victim had a gun magazine in his car

a recall for baby gates. they say the patrol safety gates can unlock themselves. so far ten injuries have been reported including two con suggestions -- con suggestions -- concussions. they say to return them for a refund. tesla is making changes to its autopilot system after a couple of deadly crashes in florida and ohio. elon musk says the electric car maker is improving the car. the autopilot feature uses camera, radar, and computers to automatically brake if the car is about to hit something. in may a driver was killed in ohio after his car failed to distinguish the white side of a tractor trailer. the car didn't automatically brake. signals from the radar sensors didn't stop the car. scientists are going be exploring mars like never

those fish are being monitored under the water. we show you how to swim with the fish without getting wet. >> it's an incredible viewing room built under the russian river. yes under the water with eight giant windows looking directly into the water. the sonoma water agency is completing a $12 million fish ladder. >> it's not just great for the public but we use it to track the abundance of the steelhead. >> like this baby steelhead. water has only been flowing for a couple of days and small fish are testing it out. it has taken two years to build and the project has a ways to go. but this is the only viewing gallery of its kind on the russian river. it's part of the inflatable dam
