most eligible bachelor by an entertainment t.v. show and appeared on opera. by the time he was 25 he founded two companies but he increased guilty to two misdemeanor assault charges paid a fine and was fired from his ceo company radio one for assaulting his girlfriend. he faced 47 felony assault charges for trying to smother her with a pillow. it was all caught on the security camera in the penthouse but the video was illegally obtained by police and the girlfriend refused to cooperate with the authorities. >> this is a kind of case where you have significant levels of domestic violence. >> then in 2014 he was accused of assaulting another girlfriend which violated his three year probation. she also declined to cooperate with investigators but this time the judge will allow the

video from the first case to be submitted into evidence which could be enough to put him behind bars. >> the problem is with the leadership and the fact that the people who get funded at the board level the investor level we see those being white and male. >> he could serve one year in jail for each misdemeanor account. he's looking is to up to two years behind bars. the bill to boost rape kit reporting requirements has failed to advance in the california senate and would have changed the number of rape kits to the department of justice. departments would have to give a reason when kits go untested but police say they just don't have the resources to test them all. >> it's been a rough day for bart commuters small debris fires on track in san francisco caused major delays this morning and those delays could

boston around 5:30 thursday evening enroute to sacramento. crew members diverted the plane to south dakota. >> eta is ten minutes now. numerous injuries on the flight due to turbulence. >> i felt like i was in the tower of terror. >> passenger is the emergency room nurse. she and a doctor on board helped passengers. >> we both went to the back of the plane and the three stewartists were injured, another young child and several hit their heads. >> 22 passengers and 2 crew members were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. that wild fire keeps growing the fire has now burned more than 70,000-acres between caramel and. 57 homes have been destroyed. crews from the california national guard are helping out

stadium in santa clara. believe it or not football season is almost here and vta is testing a new transfer for the 49ers in santa clara. express light rail this sunday's pre-season game against houston. it will cost $20 for each round trip or $149 for a pass for all 10 scheduled home games. the express train will lead from the great mall and mountain view stations with limited stops on the way to the stadium. and if you would rather watch it from home our coverage of the game starts at 4:00 p.m. sunday right here on kpix5. how high can it go? not as high as yesterday wall street the dow is off about $47

coming off that record high close yesterday. new researchers found that some greenland sharks may be older than previous thought, maybe 400 years old. can you imagine that? they swim in the icy waters of the arctic and north atlantic surviving on smaller fish. they determine the age of the sharks by looking into their eyes. protein builds up on their lenses and count like layers on a tree. they estimate the largest shark is 392 years old give or take 120 years. >> they could see carp going into the 1960s when nuclear bombs are being tested and you can see the radiation in the eyes there and we can go deeper and estimate that it's 3 to 400 years when these sharks were actually born. >> science, it's fascinating. scientists say the research may help humans figure out how to

really good manufacturer who makes the food and it does change over time because there's puppy foods and. >> so really i should buy one variety for the dog. >> buy one formation for puppy and one for adult and one for mature. >> not really. they don't have mouths the way we do. we love the way food feels in their mouth. they eat very quickly so no. we should talk about the question that owner called in. she has a seven month old lab mix i believe a puppy who doesn't seem to want to eat the dry food and labs love to eat so i'm concerned about other causes for that and they need to research why this dog doesn't want to eat. it's either the food type is not good or there's something else going on. >> i want one more thing.
