reviewing surveillance video to try and track down tips. it was 11:15 on a saturday night when police officers walked around the building they found a couple of bullet hit points. dispatchers working on the third floor of the building heard it too. >> we're getting reports of shots fired from a vehicle at the pd. >> we don't know if they're targeting us, the police department or whether it was intended for somebody else. investigators have reached out to near by businesses to see if they may have the suspect or suspects on tape. luckily concord police say nobody was hurt. it happened or those bullets actually hit in the front entrance of the concord police department where no one was around at the time of the shooting. collin kaepernick took a

to start a dialogue about the killing of black men and police. today the family of a man murdered in an east bay park held a ceremony to mark an important repair. surveillance cameras are back up again. when the victim was killed in august surveillance cameras near by were not recording anything. his sister hopes the park will be safer now even if she's still grieving. >> it's a very sad situation. especially for a place where children are supposed to come and play and feel safe. it's really sad. >> reporter: last month kpix5 first reported the story about how those cameras have not been operational for years. after that story city leaders

4,400 acres and is 71% contained. the cause of the fire still under investigation. today parishioners at a church hit by a fire in berkeley got help from a neighbor. the fire on friday afternoon tore through the first congressional congregational church's hall which held a classroom and library. today members were invited to gather at the neighboring first presbyterian church to eat and then hold their own afternoon service. when we found out we couldn't have services in the morning as we normally do it's like okay what do we do? now we know we come here because the presbyterian church is so welcoming to us. the sanctuary and damaged church was intact. a man is in critical condition after being hit. the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators.
