and this after dumping almost 6 inches of rain in the santa cruz mountains. there are still some showers moving up north. widely scattered showers. rain shows the unusual amounts being pushed along by that low pressure that will have showers on the way. a little bit over an inch. hayward picked up over an inch and a livermore 1.21 inches up in the north bay. 6500s in santa rosa. no wonder there are flash flood watches posted for the mountains. with all of this rain. this could cause problems for those recovering from the fire. it warned nearly 4500 acres in the santa cruz mountains and flashlights and the mudslide are the primary concern. the fire that broke out was

fully contained earlier this week. >> this was the scene at the oakland coliseum. he kept -- he caught the splitted mess. they had to trek through ankle- deep water some of which was pouring through electrical wires and equipment. jessica florez is live and the rain could get the fans away, but the days of rooting for the team in oakland could be numbered. >> reporter: it was certainly a gloomy day. the sun is peeking through now that the game is over. i talked to a number of raiders fans and they said nothing to keep them away from their team and they say if the team moves on they thought many of them would not traveled to watch their team there. gray skies and wet weather the raider nation still coming up in full force. the the rain did not dampen the talk of the readers leaving oakland shirted.

scene. traffic is a mess and drivers are told to avoid the area. we are learning the suspect involved in a police shooting in san francisco has died. it happened about an hour ago. the officer who was shot on the head -- in the head on friday remains in critical, but stable condition. he reportedly is conscious and he said his name is kevin downes. he had surgery to remove bullet fragments and he is partially paralyzed on one side. the president of the police commission tells kpix5 the police are pleased with the tactics they used. he fell to the ground and kept holding his gun. police -- police use flash bang and make the rest. but i think there is a sense that we put life at the top and at this stage the suspect, we don't know his full condition that he is recovering at the hospital. >> that was before we spoke this afternoon. a new us justice department

looks at the use of force policies and makes more than 200 recommendations for reform. they suspect it will take up to three years to make all the changes. santa cruz police shot and killed a man this morning after they say he attacked officers with a metal rake. it happened at 3:30 this morning. officers got a 911 call say someone was banging on the door threatening to kill everyone inside. lisette they located the suspect to began attacking them with the rate. officers deployed a taser and when that didn't work they shot the suspect. eda is investigating. a 35-year-old man is in critical condition tonight after being shot near uc berkeley. it happened last night. police say they do not think it was a random shooting. there is no word yet on if they have ties to the school. the suspect is at large. campaign 2016 clinton and trump were out of public view

today getting ready for the debate on wednesday. >> reporter: tim kaine with able to table sunday rallying support for hillary clinton at a miami diner. >> florida is closed and there are so many other close states we have to assume that is the case. >> reporter: the latest battleground tracker shows clinton with a slim, but growing lead over donald trump at 46 to 40. thanks to much stronger support among women than a month ago now up with that group by 15 points. trump has been fighting a growing list of allegations of unwanted sexual advances. nine women have come forward, trump denies the accusations. >> you have phony people coming up with sony allegations with no witnesses whatsoever. >> reporter: on twitter trump wrote "the election is being raped by the media in a coordinated effort with the clinton campaign by putting stories that never happened

into news." >> we will absolutely accept the results of the election, but the american people are tired of the obvious bias in the national media. that is where the sense of a rigged election does. >> reporter: clinton motorcade left her home sunday afternoon headed for debate prep. while trump's campaign might be getting a chunk of money from a bay area billionaire. paypal cofounder is donated 1 1/4 million dollars to trump. some of that will go to super pacs and some straight to the trump campaign. he has been a vocal supporter of trump and spoke at the convention. a final debate is this wednesday and you can watch it at 6:00 right here on kpix. the wet weather is not stopping veterans from hitting the road. how they are coming together to complete a 500 mile bike challenge.

wet weather is helping firefighters get a handle on a raging wildfire in lake tahoe. fire in washoe county the battle last night, the wind driven wildfire is now 20% contained. since it broke out friday it has burned 3000 acres, destroyed more than 20 homes and forced hundreds of evacuations. no reports of any injuries. monster waves and wind in the pacific northwest. thousands without electricity. a surprise tornado went through the beachfront town of manzanillo on friday with winds up to 130 miles per hour. some businesses and homes were damaged in uptown. it is 90 miles west of portland. >> it is a beautiful place and like living in a forest. we looked out and i recognize that all the trees are gone. >> they said the storm wasn't as bad as predicted. no reports of any injuries. a 25-year-old naval officers facing charges in

>> that is a waste of a pumpkin. >> it looks fun. >> the pumpkin david's life for nothing. there is more on the way. lingering showers as we approach sunset on this sunday evening. widely scattered showers in general. were coming into the north bay and you can see the latest on the doppler. a pretty good squall went through santa clara and to the villages. of in the north they look at that broadband of showers that will descend on santa rosa which is reporting light rain. it will spread over the next 60 minutes and work its way south. weather ushered long. it finally is showing signs and kicking inland. while it will continue to play havoc with things in oregon and washington with a thunderstorms in the forecast, for as high pressure will make its influence known. in the meantime livermore picked up 1.21 inches, oakland almost an inch and a half.

in san francisco a quarters of an inch. look at the spread. go to the salinas airport, in three days had a contaminants and 45 miles away in the big sur peak 6 inches of rain over the last three days. a distance of just 45 miles, 60 times as much rain. flash flood watch all weekend long and right into tomorrow afternoon for the santa cruz mountains. those types we will be hearing about king ties before you know it will come in and november december and january. tomorrow there is a breaker and a sneaker wave. as we overlook the day we had reckoned skies and a peak of blue here and there. 62 in salant -- san francisco.

62 at santa rosa. a peak of flu. >> that's not bad actually. we have a few showers in the north bay and look at what happens on tuesday. it is clear. things will turn around. high pressure will turn around and we have a few more showers tonight, dense fog will form overnight and dry out on tuesday with mid-80s on friday. here comes the sun. we will have to wait till wednesday. forecast skies and everyone will be between 65 and 70. cooler than average and in the extended forecast we have plenty of sunshine by tuesday afternoon and keep it that way for friday saturday and sunday. per usual october we will be getting hot. unlike what happened to the sports teams today. but i don't think the weather was any friend to the oakland raiders.
