it down, and was able to get inside. >> these were ticketed individuals. i don't understand why going in the way they were trying to get in was important to them. that's when the rock throwing began. a few people were transported to the hospital. no officers were injured and no significant injuries to fans. >> at any point were the police in danger? >> no. we had a small contingent of officers here at 2:45 p.m. the game wasn't scheduled until 4:30. that's why you saw the large influx of police officers respond, to make sure that everyone was safe. >> some of those police officers stayed. others went back to their home districts. there's not much concern that another fight will break out. there is some. they've kept some officers here. the game is about to finish sometime within the next 10, 15 minutes. we'll monitor the events here. reporting live joe vasquez. >> thank you. police in san jose serving

for the driver in -- searching for a driver in a hit-and-run crash. a man was walking near the plant shopping center when a car struck him and sped off. the victim died at the hospital. no drips of the car that -- description of the car that hit him yet. outside, something affecting us all. as we look live over san francisco evening showers for the bay. weak cold fronts making its way down from northern california. it's not going to amount to much. doppler is showing most of the activity confined to the north coast. a few showers around the central bay as we pull in even further you can see it's moving over to oakland right now. even as san francisco begins to dry out there's more rain in the east bay. and this is what's going to happen the next few hours. cold front across the south. totals less than a tenth of an inch. winds at 15 miles an hour. it's coming in like a lamb and going out that way as well.

story building. firefighters tweeted these photos as officers cornered the suspect this morning. the ladder truck was called in. officers were able to climb up and arrest him. a sebastopol woman with good intentions got the wrong attention. police posted the picture of an old school bus she wanted to use as a mobile petting zoo on wheels. that's against city laws. the woman took good care of the animals. a nearby pasture owner offered land for them to graze while police figure out where they go next. a bit of a wild day on the water around the bay area. rescue crews smashed out the window of this sunken suv. they searched the car but didn't find anyone inside. police think it was probably stolen and dumped. and in marin the fishing boat ran aground at stinson

morning. we'll get clearing and temperatures in the low 50s for the workweek and warmer weather ahead. let's examine this. you can see the slickish streets at the golden gate bridge. the upper 50s in san francisco. only the mid-50s in santa rosa. everybody else in the low 60s. high pressure is going to rebound in the eastern pacific. that will send everything up into the pacific northwest into fungus corners where it belongs. for us looking for clearing conditions. temperatures will be in the mid- 70s by midweek. so tomorrow, clearing and breezy after showers tonight. warm into the 70s by wednesday. overnight lows we'll looking at the upper 40s and low 50s. santa rosa at 40 degrees tonight. sfo breezy but nice. partly cloudy is what that intends to say. atlanta cloudy skies and 77.

oakland mayor libby schaaf is trying to keep the team in town. it doesn't look so good. ken will be in phoenix covering the vote. soccer fans clash outside a stadium in san jose. an hour before a mexican league game got started this afternoon. fans started throwing rocks and bottles at each other. extra police were called in to control the crowd. police in cincinnati are hunting for the shooters who opened fire on a busy nightclub killing one man and injuring 15 others. >> what witnesses say set it off. >> police officers surrounded a cincinnati nightclub after they got reports of gunshots around 1:30 sunday morning. >> several local men got into some type of dispute inside the bar and it escalated into shots being fired. from several individuals. >> investigators do not believe the shooting inside the crowded

cameo club was related to terrorism. >> however, to the victims what difference does it make? they've been terrorized by gun violence, innocent victims. >> 27-year-old o'brien spikes was killed. more than a dozen others were killed and treated at local hospitals. >> this is a tragedy that has struck other communities and investigators say there is a history of gun violence at this nightclub. police officers are interviewing witnesses to try to figure out the identity of the shooters. wendy gillette for cbs news. >> the city's mayor says people are patted down at the door but somehow the weapons slipped past security. police in las vegas say the man who started shooting on a public bus on the strip did it for no apparent reason. 57-year-old rolando is accused of shooting two people. a tourist from montana was killed, another person hurt.

he barricaded himself in the bus after the shooting, shutting down the strip before he ended up surrendering peacefully to police. a mother and her two children were among the victims of a grizzly quadruple homicide in smenz. and they -- in sacramento. they share the same last name as the suspect. 45-year-old angelique vasquez, her 14-year-old daughter, mia vasquez, her 11-year-old son valz, and 21-year-old ashley coleman. salvador vasquez-oliva buzz arrested in connection with the killings. the four bodies were found in a home in the southland park neighborhood earlier that day. investigators haven't given details on his relationship to the victims other than the last name he shares with three of them. neighbors say he lived at the home with his wife, two children, and another family member. >> moved here two years ago.

limb to save an oak tree in livermore. >> there's concern it has the potential to hurt people. but neighbors are convinced it can continue to stand the test of time with a little help. >> long before sunset park in livermore was created this valley oak stood right here. in fact, at 300 years old the tree was here before this country was created. and that's what's got people so fired up. >> it all started when we came out here and we saw this fencing. >> a few months ago the recreation and parks district cordoned off the tree and left a sign saying it was under examination to see if it would be cut down. two arbor riss reports -- arborists reports say if one of them should break off someone could be hurt or killed. >> it's a heavy handed knee jerk reaction that most cities

have. it's risk management. >> the neighbors say their beloved oak is a heritage tree and that the reports don't recommends removal. they advise relocating the nearby play structures, pruning, and adding support to the tree. and adding a fence warning the public to stay back. >> are you optimistic the public is being heard on this. >>. >> i know they're being heard. yeah. >> online a petition was started and got more than 300 supportersment. >> we've kept ourselves to the neighborhood. if we reach out across the city i'm sure we could get thousands of signatures. >> the park district is in a difficult spot. if someone is hurt now it could be negligence. they're looking for solutions that would limit liability without inciting the public to revolt. >> when you consider it was around before the declaration of independence was signed, are
