bumping while offering passengers a financial benefit. good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. overnight there has been a break in the search for four missing young men in pennsylvania. human remains have been found on a farm about 30 miles north of philadelphia. demarco morgan is in solebury, pennsylvania. demarco, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you. the four men have been missing for past couple of days. one disappeared last wednesday. other two vanished two days later. two have been located where that i have been searching for quite some time. authorities have been searched for quite some time. one of the victim has been identified as 19-year-old dean finocchiaro. missing since friday. he's one of the four. the remains were found in a common grave 12 1/ feet deep on

a farm. cadaver dogs led them to that spot. >> there are additional human remains inside that grave. so this painstaking process will go on. we're not done yet. this is a homicide, make no mistake about it. we just don't know how many homicides we're yet to know the answer to that question. >> reporter: authorities are working to identify the other remains. the son of the property's owner cosmo dinardo is under arrest. on charges he tried to sell a car belonging to one of the missing men. he is being held on $5 million bail cash. earlier this week dinardo was arrested and released on an unrelated gun charge and at least some of the missing men knew each other. that's what we're learning. it's unclear how well or if they knew dinardo. police are pursuing other hot leads and are considering homicide charges against dinardo. we're told the parents are

cooperating with the investigation. i got a chance to speak with friends of jimmy patrick who's missing at this hour. they're from loyola university. they told me they're fearing for the worst. >> there's something that's going to be missing on loyola campus. he had friends, went out, he was smart, goofy. a personality like that, not being at a school like ours, you're going to notice he's gone. >> reporter: now, again, there were more human remains found in that common grave. we expect to learn much more a couple of hours from now at a scheduled news conference. of course, we'll keep you posted on any new developments. anne-marie? >> demarco morgan in solebury. thank you very much, mardemarco. in los angeles, a

phone-in bomb threat caused an evacuation at a dormitory. they returned early morning within an all clear was issued. president trump arrived in paris this morning where he'll meet with france's president and take part in bastille day celebrations tomorrow. in an interview before he left, mr. trump said he didn't know about his oldest son's meeting with a russian lawyer until a couple of days ago and he def d defended donald trump jr.'s decision to hold that meeting. the president also said he was sorry he didn't ask russian president vladimir putin during their meeting last week whether putin actually supported him. mola lenghi has the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: president trump took off for paris wednesday night, still dogged by questions about his campaign ties to russian leader vladimir putin. in an interview with cnn's pat robertson, he said he thought putin supported hillary clinton. >> we're going to be exploiting energy.

he wouldn't like that. he would want hillary who wants windmills. >> reporter: donald trump jr. meet with a russian lawyer last june claiming she had dirt on clinton. he said, i think many people would circulate held that meeting. president trump maintains he only learned of meeting a couple of days ago and nows he son-in-law jared kushner is facing fresh scrutiny. federal justice investigators are examining whether the digital campaign run by kushner helped target u.s. voters with fake news stories. if there was a data analytical component with this coordination in which there was a level of coordination that we need to look into. republican congressman trey gowdy. >> we may be missing this window defiantly. >> reporter: a defiant president trump took to twitter earlier writing that the white house is functioning perfectly, adding

he's writing on health care and many other things. the president said he'll be, quote, very angry if senate republicans fail to pass a revamped health care bill. majority leader mitch mcconnell plans to release the revised version in a closed door meeting with gop senators today. he wants a vote next week. mcconnell had to pull the original plan when too many senators ballinged. balked. it's far from certain, though, that the new plan will win agreement. christopher wray, the president's nominee to be the fbi director, said he did not consider the investigation into possible coordination between the trump campaign and russia to be a witch hunt. the senate judiciary committee opened wray's confirmation hearing yesterday. wray said he would resign if the president asked him to do something unlawful or unethical, and he would never offer a pledge of loyalty to mr. trump. >> no one asked me for any kind of loyalty oath at any time during the process and i sure as heck didn't offer one.

wray would replace james comey, who the president fired in may. wray said he would not pull any punches, and his loyalty is to the constitution. in gulfport, mississippi, two teenagers are under arrest after a disturbing incident was livestreamed on facebook. it showed a woman being beaten and sexually assaulted. according to police, the 15-minute graphic video was shown tuesday. the woman is repeatedly asked to perform sexual acts and is then beaten by another woman. police say 17-year-old ezzi johnson posted the video made in the home of 19-year-old haley alexis hudson. >> i can't help but be disturbed by the incredible numbers of shares and views of this crude and despicable event. not too long ago we were up to 1,100 shares of that video, and i think we're at 48,000 views. it speaks loudly about our culture. >> both johnson and hudson face

felony kidnapping charges. hudson also faces sexual batter overseas five men have been charged in the murder and beating death of tourist bakari henderson. video shows him running and being chased by a group of people. he's tackled and thrown into a parked car where he was beaten. four others will testify today. this morning another round of severe thunderstorms bringing the potential of flooding, and it's possible from the upper midwest to the mid-atlantic. flood watches and warnings are posted from iowa to new york. last night floodwaters surged over streets northwest of boston. severe weather dumped as much as 5 inches of rain in the indianapolis area. many indiana counties are under a travel advisory, and that same storm system inundated some northern chicago suburbs flooding some basements and closing some roads.

on the "cbs moneywatch" the fed weighs in on interest rates, and united launches a plan to deal with overbooked flights. roxana saberi is at the new york stock exchange with that and more. good morning, roxana. >> good morning, anne-marie. fed chair janet yellen testified for a second day on capitol hill. yesterday she told lawmakers that the fed expects to keep raising interest rates at a gradual pace. the fed has raised rates three times. they expect one more hike this year. they plan to sell off the bond holdings this year. yel yelin's testimony sparked wall street pushing the dow to a new high. the dow gained 123 points. the s&p finished 17 points up and the nasdaq added 57. verizon said there's been no loss or theft of customer

information despite a massive security breach. it affected 6 million verizon customers. names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and account p.i.n.s were exposed. an employee at one of verizon's vendors left it on a server. it requires them to store data within the company. app is working with a government owned company in china raising concerning about icloud accounts storing personal information getting transferred but apple says it has strong security measures in place. a big tax break for google in france. france avoided a $.3 billion tax adjustment imposed on google. the france government said they were required to pay the tax because the irish subsidiaries sold online services to france. but they ruled they're not taxable in france. french government can appeal.

an infant at an australian zoo will soon need a bigger splash pool. the asian elephant was born there in may as part of a conservation program. the species is in danger due to poaching and habitat loss. scientists say the formation of a giant iceberg in antarctica is fascinating but not worrisome, at least not yet. that story from debora patta. >> reporter: it's been hanging on by a thread for months, but finally a chunk of ice the size of delaware has snapped off. at more than 2,200 square miles the massive fracture certainly looks dramatic, but scientists are not pressing the panic button just yet. is this fracturing of the iceberg cause for alarm?

>> at the moment i would say no. it may provide scientific clues long term. >> the question is whether this is the beginning of the retreat of this ice shelf that may eventually be linked to climate change. >> reporter: an ice shelf is permanently attached to land. it will snap off every few decades, but it usually grows again as it hits warm land. it retreats to such a point that they're unable to regenerate. scientists will now be able to determine if this is one such case. >> we'll take sediment samples from beneath the ice shelf that will tell us how often this kind of event has occurred in the past. >> reporter: of more immediate concern, however, is that without an ice shelf to hold it back, the glasle ice will drive out to sea and drive sea levels up more quickly than predicted for this century.

our top story this morning, investigators searching for four missing pennsylvania men found human remains on a farm north of philadelphia. one of the young men, 19-year-old dean finocchiaro has been identified. other remains were found. authorities say they are starting to look at homicide charges against cosmo dinardo who was taken into custody early wednesday. president trump arrived in pearce this morning, the start of a two-day visit. before leaving he says he didn't learn until just a few days ago of his eldest son meeting with a russian lawyer claiming to have dirt on hillary clinton. he defended his son saying anyone would have taken that

meeting. a number of police officers in austin, texas, have been treated for carbon monoxide poison in the last week. the department suspects the gas was leaking inside their suvs, but as kris van cleave reports, the problem may not be limited to police vehicles. >> i hit the road twice and i said i was going to get sick. >> reporter: newly released dash cam video in march appeared to show sergeant zachary lahood sickened by what his department says was carbon monoxide seeping into his ford explorer police cruiser. >> i remember swerving. i thought i was going to go head on into a bus or a garbage truck. i think it was a bus. >> reporter: lahood, a 13 year veteran is on leave and suing ford. >> i'm lucky to be alive and i'm lucky i didn't kill anyone else. >> reporter: in the last week six more officers have been treated for carbon monoxide exposure. the department has now taken 37 ford explorers out of service. assistant police chief troy gay. >> we believe it's something we

do need to take immediate action on. learned there were 450 plus complaints from 2011 to 2017. federal regulators acknowledge that number has grown and are investigating. ford has known about it since at least 2012. a company representative later acknowledged in a deposition it appears to be a design issue that may allow exhaust through carbon monoxide leak through unsealed seams. this shows the police cruiser brandon mcdowell was driving that slammed into a montreal. he's one of a half a dozen officers in texas and louisiana are suing ford over allegations of carbon monoxide exposure. nhtsa says it is investigating if the issues in austin are related to any possible safety defect. ford tells us it has investigating and found no
