century outside a courthouse building. activists used a ladder and a rope to pull down the monuments. dozens cheered and some kicked the statue after it fell to the ground. in baltimore, a monument was vandalized over the weekend. someone poured the red paint over the statue which depicts a dying con federal soldier. on sunday, protesters denounced the violence and racism in virginia. yesterday the mayor said she plans to remove all of baltimore's confederate monuments. the holocaust memorial in boston was vandalized for the second time this summer. panel on the memorial lasta night. he will be charg with s as malicious destruction of property. the civil rights unit is also investigating. an oklahoma man is in federal custody this morning

accused of trying to carry out an attack on american soil. he allegedly tried to detonate what he thought was a van packed with explosives outside an oklahoma city bank. >> reporter: a confidential informant alerted the fbi to his plan to blow up an oklahoma city bank describing him as someone upset with the government and seeking retaliation. in the criminal complaint, he wanted to pull off an attack similar to the oklahoma city bombing, adding, i'm out for blood. when militias start getting formed i'm going after government officials. the informant introduced him to undercover fbi agent. he was posing as someone who could help get bomb makinsu an g >> he gan applying components for what he believed would make an improvised explosive device. >> he thought was a working bomb and tried to detonate it with a cell phone.
