three more women come forward, this time at cbs, with claims of sexual migs conduct against charlie rose. and the daring escape of a north korean soldier to the south is caught on camera. good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. we begin with a crash of a navy plane. the navy says 11 people were onboard one of the transport planes when it crashed into the pacific ocean today. ben tracy joins us on the phone today. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, anne-marie. a lot of details are coming in about this, but the transport plane crashed in the ocean off southeast okinawa. we're told by the defense ministry that the plane was

taking off from the "uss reagan" transport carrier when this happened. we're told that this is a c-2 transport plane. that's according to the defense ministry. defense ministry and it was being launched off an aircraft carrier, and if you've ever been on one of those, it's a pretty phenomenal thing to see. critically we do not know the condition of the people who were rescued or whether or not they're still alive. the military says they're not releasing any names because they would still have to notify next of kin if there are, indeed, any deaths or injuries. >> thank you so much, ben. back at home president trump says he'll announce next week if he'll campaign if alabama senate candidate roy moore. the president hasn't officially endorsed moore, but he defended

him despite multiple glaegss of sexual misconduct, and he made it clear moore was the better choice than his democratic opponent. hena doba is here with the details. good morning. >> good morning, anne-marie. president trump defended moore at the white house before left for thanksgiving break, this as moore himself continues to fight back against the claims sfloo. e >> he totally denies it. he says it didn't happen. >> reporter: speaking from the white house lawn tuesday, president trump defended roy moore. >> we don't need a liberal person in there. >> reporter: the president's remarks came the same day moore took to the alabama cable network pushing back against the women accusing him of sexual assault, most of whom were teenagers at the time. >> i never dated underage women. i never engaged in sexual misconduct with anybody.

>> the president who was also accused of sexual misconduct during the presidential campaign questions the timing. >> this has never come up. >> and took particular aim at moore's democratic opponent, doug jones. >> i looked at his record. it's terrible on crime, it's terrible on the border, it's terrible in the military. >> ivanka trump says there's a special place in hell for people who prey on children. >> in his latest campaign ad the president is using the words of his allies including daughter ivanka trump. >> i've been talking about issues consistently in this race. i have yet to see that from roy moore. >> with the state's special election now three weeks away, president trump has left the door open for campaigning for moore. he says he'll make an announcement about that next week. >> many are called for moore to leave the race. they're vying to fill attorney general jeff sessions' old senate seat.

division, there is absolutely nothing more important in this or any organization than ensuring a safe professional workplace. a supportive environmental where people feel they can do their best work. we need to be such a place. after that statement, at least three women who asked not to be identified said they experienced unwanted sexual contact from rose while working at cbs news. eight women who either worked for his independently produced show on pbs or wanted to told the "washington post" they faced his sexual advances from 1990s to 2011. they accused him of groping their busts, buttocks, or genital areas and would walk around naked while at home or working on the road. he apologized for his inappropriate behavior and said% he was greatly embarrassed although he added i do not

our top story this morning, president trump defended the republican cincinnati candidate of alabama, roy moore, despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. mr. trump didn't exactly endorse moore, but told voters not to endorse the democratic opponent. two women have accused moore of sexual molestation. one said she was 14 at the time. moore denies the allegations. sexual assault in this country is widespread. it happens on average every 98 second. most attackers are not well known or powerful but known to their victims. jericka duncan visited the cleveland rape crisis center.

>> how many of you all were sexually assaulted by a show of hands by someone that you knew and someone that you trusted? what happened? >> my first experience of being sexually violated goes back to the age of 5. >> i was abused by a man who lived in my neighborhood. >> i was molested by my mother's boyfriend. >> i was abused by a family member. >> i was raped by a co-worker at my old job. >> i was sexually assaulted 5 1/2 years ago by a co-worker of my husband. >> i'm a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and rain from an older boy that lived in the area. i share my story to try to help other people walk through this darkness because it was horrible. >> do you think there are actually more male victims of sexual abuse and rape than are

reported? >> i do. it's hard to say. if you were to come out, it chips away at your masculinity. >> i feel like the biggest lesson that i had to learn was that the real victory was me breaking the silence. there are changes that are starting to happen in society, especially with all of the major news events that are coming out, and i think that it's great that it's getting so much attention, but there is still a culture of victim blaming. >> the way people are responding to the celebrities and people who have a name, i really wish society would respond to our everyday survivors the same way. it's like we create a hierarchy for survivors in our society, if you look a certain way or come from a certain background to get that attention. >> none of us are tv personalities. that's a beautiful thing to let people know you don't have to be rich, you know, you don't have to be in the spotlight. a violation is a violation.
