arrest this morning after making violent threats on a southwest airlines flight. >> i want to [ bleep ] kill everybody on this [ bleep ] plane. >> southwest officials say valerie curbelo was smoking in the bathroom. she disabled the smoke alarm. flight attendants escorted her back to her seat and that's when she became aggressive. the flight from portland to sacramento. she was arrested. she blames anxiety. a south carolina man convicted of killing reportedly seven victims said there are more victims. todd co-lip said he tried to tull the fbi but he was blown off. he pleaded guilty to seven counts of murder that took place over a during a

now completely outfitted with body cameras. mayor rahm emanuel and the police superintendent made the announcement yesterday. they're using body cams more than any other police department in the nation. the completion comes a year ahead of schedule. celebrities are reaching out to a bullying victim in tennessee, and nikki haley breaks from the trump administration. those are some of the headlines on the morning newsstand. the u.s. ambassador to the u.n. nikki haley says women accusing others of sexual misconduct needs to be heard. she said they have every right to speak up. more than a dozen women have accused mr. trump of sexual misconduct. the administration has said the allegations are false. britain's "guardian" reports

million teams. people across the country have offered support including football players from the university of tennessee titans and dale earnhardt jr. the "houston chronicle" says concussion protocol was followed after tom savage took a punishing hit yesterday. he lie on the ground with his arms shaking. he came out of the game for a few minutes but went back in after play. he was taken out again and it was determined he suffered a concussion. archaeologists in egypt have discovered two ancient tombs in the southern city. the tombs contained a mummy wrapped in linen, coffin fragments, skulls, bones, statues, and figurines. those buried in the tombs haven't been identified. a high-tech swimsuit is making waves in schools across the country. parents are buying their kids the expensive suits to help them go faster at swim meets, but some states are banning them. meg oliver reports.

>> reporter: in a graceful sport consumed with speed, swimmers are always looking for that extra edge. >> this is my first junior nationals, and my mom is like this is the biggest meet of of your life, like i'm going to get yo awe new tech suit. >> reporter: 15-year-old malia mills believes her high-tech swimsuit shaved two seconds off her time at junior nationals, an eternity in swimming. >> it's basically like another layer of skin. it's very, very tight and it's really hard to get on. >> reporter: matt farrell is with usa swimming. he's concerned swimmers younger than 12 are relying more on technology and less on training. what's the pressure like among parents to buy these high-tech suits? >> there's just a natural competitiveness in youth sports and in any activity. it just creates a parental arms race to have the best of anything, to have their kid perform better. >> reporter: that competition became so intense swim chapters around the country started banning high item suits for younger swimmers a few months ago. southern california led the way followed by arkansas, maine, new england, new jersey, and south carolina. high-tech suits actually repel

our top stories this morning. the closely watched alabama election will be tomorrow. roy moore is running against doug jones. today voters will hear a recorded phone call from president trump saying he needs more to move his agenda forward. alabama senior senator republican richard shelby says the state can do more. and the wildfire burning in southern california is spreading west. they're urging residents in santa barbara county to evacuate. more than 30 thousand are under evacuation orders. it's destroyed more than 830

buildings and burned through more than 200 square miles. five are scheduled to vote thursday on a plan to dismantle so-called net neutrality protections. roxana saberi reports on what's at stake. >> reporter: michael says his two tech companies rely on the internet to supply research for the nasdaq. >> all the information, everything we provide to our clients we pretty much live and breathe through the internet. >> that's why he's concerned about the president's plan to roll back net neutrality. the obama-era rules bar internet providers from slowing or stopping internet traffic or charging more for faster speeds. cnet's robert chang. s.e.c. chairman told cbs news in the spring the current rules stifle investment. >> because the regulations are
