of 2016 and left 49 people dead. today, salman's mother who lives in the bay area spoke to kpix 5's jessica flores. >> reporter: salman grew up here in rodeo, california. it's also where fbi agents arrested her last year for charges in connection to the pulse nightclub massacre. now, her mother has never spoken publicly about the charges until today. she tells me exclusively she always believed in her daughter's innocence. we walked up to noor salman's family home moments after the not guilty verdict came down. her mother asked us not to show her face and spoke through the screen door. how are you feeling? >> i feel very good. >> you feel very good. is she coming home now? >> i don't know. i just found out. >> reporter: off camera, her mother invited me into her home. she was overcome with emotion shaking, showing me pictures of her daughter. noor salman acquitted of

obstruction of justice and of providing material support to a terrorist organization. nearly two years after her husband killed 49 people. >> i'm sorry about the people they pass away, um, for the family, this is not islam. this is not our -- how it is. my daughter i know -- i believe in god. she not guilty. >> reporter: noor salman has been locked up in florida for the last year. prosecutors argued she lied to investigators and knew about omar mateen's plans. her attorneys and her family maintain noor was a victim lied to and abused by her husband. >> my daughter is sick. we have to take care of her right now. >> reporter: noor salman faced life in prison. now as a free woman, her mother says she is preparing noor's room for her return. in rodeo, jessica flores, kpix 5. new information in the

stephon clark case. the family's independent autopsy results just released this morning contradict the police statement of the shooting. a pathologist that the report that he was facing officers is inconsistent with this new autopsy. he says sacramento police shot stephon clark from behind. >> the position that has been presented that i was assailing the officers, meaning he was facing the officers, is inconsistent with the prevailing forensic evidence as documented at autopsy. >> clark was killed by police who were responding to a call of someone breaking car windows. officers say they thought clark had a gun but it was a cell phone. clark was buried yesterday. a march for action is planned

for noon tomorrow in sacramento. a russian man accused of hacking bay area social media giants like linkedin appeared in san francisco federal court today. kpix 5 reporter jackie ward was there and has the latest. >> reporter: hours after entering the united states an alleged russian hacker faces a judge for the first time. he was in prison in pga until yesterday. nikulin is being charged for various things including computer intrusion, conspiracy and aggravated identity theft. he pled not guilty to all counts. during the proceeding nikulin wore a gray sweatsuit and wouldn't speak to the judge when asked his name and age exercising his right to remain silent. he was given an attorney and interpreter. he allegedly compromised the information of 117 million linkedin passwords. four years later in 2016, a grand jury here in california charged him with computer intrusion and aggravated identity theft. since linkedin and other

i am extremely proud of jackie, gaby and stephanie. we worked with pg&e to save energy because we wanted to help the school. they would put these signs on the door to let the teacher know you didn't cut off the light. the teachers, they would call us the energy patrol. so they would be like, here they come, turn off your lights! those three young ladies were teaching the whole school about energy efficiency. we actually saved $50,000. and that's just one school, two semesters, three girls. together, we're building a better california.
