the korea agreement. first the visit between the two leaders. >> reporter: it was a step across the border that many people in korea and around the world did not believe would ever take place. he became the first north korean leader to set foot on south korean soil. president moon warmly greeted him as they kicked off a historic summit. after planting a pine tree to symbolize peace. they spoke privately at a footbridge for 30 minutes. also met inside the peace house in the demilitarized zone. and afterwords, south korean president declared a new era of peace on the korean peninsula. they agreed to officially end the korean war by the end of the year. resume reunions of families separated by the conflict and turn the demilitarized zone into what they call a genuine peace zone. visiting north korea for a second summit this fall.

that's not couple from 1978. those are the murders he is being charged with entering for today. we did talk to his brother-in- law, d'angelo's brother-in-law and he was shocked by what happened.? if you look at joe, i would've never suspected it. we had a family type relationship. so we jokingly hunted -- we joked and we hunted. we went boating. ? he has three adult children and is married but separated. he was born in new york. he went to folsom high school and get his ged 1964. my onto sacramento state where he graduated with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. according to an exit her son, he was a police officer and then later joined the auburn police department from which he was eventually fired. and for the last 27 years he has worked at save mart and a distribution center in roseville as a mechanic.

and a coworkers there, they are equally shocked to find out that he is the person being charged with all of these crimes as well. now he's being arraigned for two murders. the two murders he committed and sacramento county. overall eight murder charges. there are two here, to in ventura county and two in orange county. >> he is charging so many counties, will he be tried separately?? that is the big question. this is early on in the case. at this point we don't know what will happen with these charges. everything is unrolling and unraveling as we go. maybe be more charges in various different kinds because he has commuters does make accused of committing crimes over so many years. -- because he was accused of committing so many crimes over so many years. in other bay area

headlines, over a water main break this morning in union city. cruise were called to make repairs about 9:30 am. no word yet on the status of those repairs or the impact on service. san jose firefighters on the scene of a two alarm fire at an apartment building. cruise not to out and about 30 minutes, they are still looking into what sparked the fire. firefighters investigating a deadly mobile home fire in south -- north san jose. one man was killed, his identity has not been released. slept with a $97.5 million fine for improper back channel communications. the ladle -- latest trouble for the utility. federal investigators determined that the blast was caused by a combination of broad. keeping -- of fraud record- keeping and bad maintenance.

accused of sexual misconduct after the firing of charlie rose by cbs news and nbc's firing of matt lauer. looking at the latest claims against brokaw. >> i was groped and assaulted. by tom brokaw. >> in the news with variety magazine and the washington post, former nbc news correspondent linda bester describes what she calls are two unwanted advances with tom brokaw in the mid-1990s. including one in which he invited himself to her hotel room. >> he leans over with his index finger and puts out my mouth and says this is our compact. at that point, he took the same hand and reach behind my head and tried to force me to kiss him. >> he city met with her twice at her request and made no romantic gestures toward her. >> washington post journalist

sarah elson reports around the same time a second unnamed nbc employee claims he put her hands against his chest and invited her into his office. brokaw told the paper no such incident happened. neither woman reported the allegations back then. >> they don't come forward for two very good reasons, they are afraid they will be believed and to they are afraid they will face retaliation. >> the former today show host esco -- exposed himself and asked her to touch them. a second claims he had sex with her in the middle the day in his office. and for the first time, former coal hast -- cohost, she warms -- warrant management about his conduct. >> i am not surprised by the

allegations. >> we reached out to matt lauer nbc but did not hear back. nbc said it has no record of curries warning. he says any allegations or reports of course of, aggressive or abusive actions on my part at any time are absolutely false. tom brokaw refused a request for comment. he remains a nbc special request -- special correspondent. found guilty for drugging and molesting a woman at his home in 2004. many other women have accused bill cosby for sexual abuse. present trump applauding the release of the final house intelligence committee report and russia's efforts to interfere in a 26 -- in the 2016 election. it proves there is no connection between the campaign in russia.

is part of a bigger picture. that bigger picture is statewide mutual aid. california years ago realized the need to work together. teamwork is important to protect the community, but we have to do it the right way. we have a working knowledge and we can reduce the impacts of a small disaster, but we need the help of experts. pg&e is an integral part of our emergency response team. they are the industry expert with utilities. whether it is a gas leak or a wire down, just having someone there that deals with this every day is pretty comforting. we each bring something to the table that is unique and that is a specialty. an kp althesering something emergencies small. and the fact that we can bring it together and effectively work together is pretty special. they bring their knowledge, their tools and equipment and the proficiency to get the job done. and the whole time i have been in the fire service, pg&e's been there, too. whatever we need whenever we need it.

>> the royal one. that is for sure. any raindrops, there's a few way up to the north, right now we are seeing some of those clouds overhead. but none of them releasing raindrops on the bay area. so just south of eureka on highway 101. mendocino county that is where any of the rain falls at the moment. here's a look at the skies. makes a pretty impressive site across most of the bay area. some areas i should say are starting to see the clouds moving back still as co- coverage in places like ocean beach right now actually clear. has been an interesting morning as faas the artwork in the sky. we are noticing is temperatures are cooler and about 5 degrees cooler than average. 60 degrees for the high in san francisco today. 63 in oakland. highs in the upper 60s, when you should be in the low 70s. and 65 for you in fremont further leds.

temperatures in the upper 60s there. no 70s in sight for most of the neighborhood. 60s and asked little. further up north i temperatures also staying cool today. also notice a bit of a west wind. seven -- sunset at 7:56 pm, sunset -- sunrise at 6:17 am. a key -- clearing of the college. -- clouds. if you do get any most likely just the northbay and most likely just a few hundredths of an inch. so really not much and then saturday into sunday morning, more clouds return by sunday afternoon in the sunshine for the forecast, more clouds return. this low right here, bringing us chilly temperatures and moisture across oregon but not so much for the bay area. but the west coast impacted by the winds associated with you

today andrew in sunnyvale writes that his 6-month- old chihuahua puppy... or not he can take this dugout and go places with the dog. of course he can. staying off lease -- lease is a very advanced command. i recommend training, where there is multiple animals in the group rather than private because you want them to learn to listen to you while there's a lot of activity going on and also helps them socialize nicely. so i recommend and have them listen to you. i put on a graphic today, it has a lot to do with whether you live in and urban environment, or even a rural environment. obviously in a urban environment, preference would not to be have your dog off the leash. unless it's a fenced in area or the beach.
