pilot. jessica flores has the latest. >> >> reporter: you can see where it smashed through this fence here. it took a dive into the pond on private property. and divers found that driver dead inside the vehicle. almeda county sheriff's department says its dive team spent hours sunday night into monday early morning getting to the tesla, submerged in murky pond water. divers pulled out the body of 34-year-old danville resident keith leone. >> when our divers found him he was strapped into the vehicle. >> the property owner noticed the damage and called in the crash. the tesla model s found 65 feet from the embankment. >> the vehicle did travel a significant ways from the roadways so it is believed that the vehicle could have gone airborne based on some of the damage to a sign located in the area. we have never dealt with a submerged car, electric car like that before.

we did take precautions, we did make the proper phone calls to make sure that we were okay when we touched the cars that our diverses were safe. >> the deadly crash happened off this windee road. -- windy road. investigators don't know what caused the crash or what happened. the crash could have happened as early as saturday night. >> but he had not been seen for well over 24 hours. >> reporter: at this point investigators do not know whether or not the tesla model s was in auto pilot mode. castro valley, jessica flores. earlier this month a tesla model s rear ended a truck. the driver's only injury was a broken ankle. bay area tesla driver was killed when his car slammed on to a barrier on 101 in mountain

view. that tesla was on auto pilot at the time. a man fell to his death inside of a terminal inside terminal 3. airport officials say that the man fell from the mess a mean level -- mezzanine level. the spot where he fell has been closed off to the public. the victim is in his late 50s or early 60s. and the circumstances of the fall are now under investigation. firefighters in san francisco quickly put out flames in the visitation valley neighborhood this morning. this is on desmond street near sunny scale. crews say no one was hurt. the flames were knocked down in less than 10 minutes. no word on how this fire started. no school today in santa fe, texas where people are mourning the shooting deaths of 10 people. dozens of people attended a candlelight vigil for the victims and cbs reporter omar villafranca has more on tributes planned for today. >> across texas this morning,
