at the stations. >> police say the latest crack down on crime is working and the new numbers prove it. many riders say they feel increasingly unsafe with the open drug use. kpx5 reporter jackie takes a look at the stats. >> it's good news to start a trend in robberies and crime. not all the numbers are going in that direction. last year there were 34. this year, 33. >> one is one too many. when you consider the amount of riders in the area we cover, it's not want to be but it's definitely something we need to work on. >> for some of the 400,000 riders, it's hard to be optimisting about crimes in stations and on board trains because of the physical drug use the stations like in the corner or elevator.
