risk fire zone prepare for the real thing. a firefighter was shot and killed while responding to an explosion and fire in long beach. it happened at a highrise apartment building for seniors. the firefighter identified as 45-year-old captain david rosa, 17 year veteran of the force. another firefighter and a civilian were also shot but expected to survive. the explosion happened around 3:30 this morning blowing out some windows and starting a fire. this firefighters point out gunshots rang out. this is hitting us extremely hard. our prayers, love and support will go out not only to our brothers an sisters at the fire department but the family of dave. >> long beach police say they have a person of interest in custody. a shooting at a dinner

party, swat officers arrived at garfield park avenue around 8:00 last night. the suspect walter ross showed up at his estranged wife's home and started shooting. she wasn't home but adult son was hosting a dinner party. one person was killed, two others were shot including the little boy. both are expected to survive. investigators say ross shot himself and in critical condition. anger over president trump's immigration policy did not die down over the weekend with more protests happening around the country. the president stoked the fire even more on twitter. >> president trump continued his push for stronger immigration policies this weekend, he tweeted, we cannot allow all of these people to invade our country. when somebody comes in we must pleadly with no judges or court cases, bring them back from where they came. >> they want to hire now 5000 more judges so that a person puts the toe in the land that we have to go to trial, this is
