ben tracy on the race against time to complete the dangerous mission.>> reporter: inside the cave, workers have been drilling holes into the rock, so the rescue teams can more easily navigate the dark and wet cavern, their efforts are paying off. this video shows the first group of boys just moments after being rescued from the cave. within two minutes, they were in helicopters and flown to a hospital where beds were lined up at the front door. so far, thailand officials say that the elaborate rescue operation has gone better and faster than they expected, a source tells cbs news they have added five more people to the internnateam18hos canresc the ining bullies and their coach in a shorter period of time. here is how this dangerous

clear skies. hot and muggy for the next few days, the ridge of high pressure bringing down under storm activity, for us, look at what it is doing to our temperatures, 30 degree difference from the coast to the inland spots, low to mid 90s for the east bay, like antioch, and then right around the water, above average by few degrees, low to mid 70s. it will definitely feel a bit more comfortable, as you move north, low 90s as well. take a look at the rest of the country, still hot in the northeast, a lot hotter last week, temperatures will rise the next couple of days, right here is where the main heat will continue, because of this. it is stubborn, sticking around for several days, you will continue to feel the effects here. nevada, southern california, feeling the heat, unstable air, for us, sunshine. we could see a chance for isolated thunderstorms across the sera from that ridge of
