there. >> reporter: investigators spent this morning searching this area for clues that may help them piece together what happened here last night. there are three homes closely grouped together here that detectives keep going between. there seems to be a large yard at the back of the lot. the sheriff's department confirms deputies arrived on the scene just before 11:00 p.m. and found someone suffering from a gunshot wound in the scene. his identity has been been released. a neighbor knows the person who died and they had mutual friends. the sheriff's department may be releasing more information in this investigation later on this afternoon. >> and anyone is asked to contact the contra costa county sheriff's department. and developing news. up to 30 soldiers injured after a tent structure collapse around

are. here's a live look to the north. the clouds are hanging right around the bay near the golden gate bridge. it's off in the distance. most of us underunshin pt rightw visibility low. temperature wise, what a difference. 79 in concord compared to 62 in san francisco. 82 in san jose. a sign the warmth is on. a few lightning strikes near bishop to the south of it us and east of yosemite lakes. and we're watching iffer the chance of lightning strikes this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. what we will likely see is by 3:00, 4:00, high clouds coming in from the south. that's the clouds coverage from the moisture. there's a minimal chance of lightning over the higher elevations late tonight and early tomorrow morning.

the same type of early morning fog. it will burn off for a hot day. the air mass is coming in and we're notices it across the mountain range. afternoon highs are hot. upper 80s and low 90s inland. around the east bay, hotter. mid to upper 90s there. and temperatures right around the bay hanging around the 70s for most of you. and to the north, that's where the heat is really getting tense. there's adv for parts of nevada. daytime highs between 100 and 110. and this heat advisory is ending at 9:00 p.m. this ridge is sticking around again for a lot longer. we'll be dealing with it for the next few days bringing the temperatures to the upper 90s. and you see it here. mainly south of lake tahoe, there's a chance of some of that coming further up north. and then every afternoon through the weekend as well. it's all unstable air. it's hard to pin point exactly
