this is what hawaiians do before a hurricane. plenty of servers in the big waves. you can definitely tell they are massive and the storm is brewing. they been dealing with strong storm surge overnight, early this morning and heavy rainfall and strong wind already. right now category 4205 miles southwest, gusts 160 miles per hour. you can see the white expansion of this storm system, moving slowly across warm waters. that the problem it will cause more damage. by this afternoon, early tomorrow, it will start to get weaker, category 2 expected tomorrow morning and down to category 1 before it moves into tropical storm status by saturday. the morning and watch is in effect for all islands across a wide. this shows you what is expected. different forecast model some

restaurant webster street. surveillance video captured the brutal crime. the sheriff announced the arrest of these two suspects. they face charges of homicide and attempted robbery. the arraignment for the suspected golden state killer taking place in sacramento county. this is called the biggest trial in california history in less than an hour and a half. joseph deangelo set to be arraigned on an amended complaint combined 13 counts of murder across six jurisdictions been dubbed the easter rapist and golden state killer. today former police officer joseph deangelo will answer to a judge. the amended complaint alleges 26 crimes including 13 murders in sacramento, santa barbara, orange, ventura county. >> as of tuesday also facing

four counts rape in contra costa county. >> thankfully we can hold someone accountable for these crimes and seek justice for victims. >> reporter: it to dna evidence to track down 72 -year-old deangelo and arrest him in april. in addition to the 13 murders, he is suspected and dozens of burglaries and at least nine rates. the statute of limitations has prevented prosecutors from charging him in all cases. >> the fact we cannot charge some because of the statute of limitations does not mean we will not seek to introduce that evidence at trial. >> prosecutors say they are not finished with the case. they are continuing to look for more victims and further criminal charges are likely. >> state lawmakers considering a proposal that would allow bart to fast track plans for housing development. >> would allow bart to low -- to ignore local zoning rules and create own building

a man stabbed near the warm springs bart station in fremont this morning on an access road and the parking lot around 2:30 a.m. police say the victim suffered minor injuries. they are looking for suspects. the apple store robbed this week and now police need your help finding these men in these pictures. five suspects grabbed small electronics from two tables and ran out. this happened yesterday around noon, in broad daylight. they ran to a black honda sedan with a taped over license plate and left the area. police in petaluma looking for the third suspect who went on a burglary spree at two t- mobile stores, stealing about $10,000 worth of merchandise. authorities are looking for the man who entered the store first. the one wearing a gray sweatshirt and a black hat. the other two have been arrested. police say they are the same trio who stole phones and

computers for mr. in santa rosa. san jose and san francisco teaming up with cities around the world making a commitment to significantly cut down on pollution from buildings. the bay area cities among 19 around the globe signing the net 0 carbon buildings declaration, pledging to make all new buildings carbon neutral by 2030. they also committed to make all old and new buildings carbon neutral by 2050. while santa monica has also joined the pledge. california lawmakers moving forward with the new bill to help expunge pot related convictions. now headed to the governor's does. under current law californians with past convictions can petition the court to clear the records but some argue the process is complicated and many don't even know about it. it would require there be a list of those eligible and require the court to reduce or dismiss their conviction. >> president trump speaking out in the wake of his former

their pain. for years, a s . when a parent dies children often feel no one understands her pain. for years a san francisco woman has come alongside children and caregivers with open arms. >> reporter: pat murphy knows the heartbreak of a child who has lost a dad or mom. she helped start josie's place for bereaved youth and families . named for two josephine's, cut's mom who died of cancer when she was 4 and her stepmom, who passed at 20 years later.

>> a time whwa't ppavailable. i felt like and it was too much to handle at times she worked through grief in therapy and volunteered to help others. at josie's place the certified life coach has given families free grief support in a rented part of santa ana's church and several public schools. for nonprofit one of the few that serves both adults and children, since they process pain differently. >> children grief throughout their lives. while children are needing, parents are in their own support grby she came after her dad died of cancer. she was anxious an emotional but her mom says she responded to art therapy, play and
