racing case was extradited back to the united states. a six-year-old girl was killed in a crash nine years ago and the suspect is now behind bars. east pal at resident shannon fox was racing and ran a red light and hit a third car. the six-year-old, lisa xavier, was killed and her mother hurt in the crash. surveillance video showed two cars racing. they found fox's car abandoned at the scene. he fled to central america after the crash and was arrested and extradited from guatemala. >> we had information he had fled to central america. with partners at the fbi, we confirmed it. in december of 2016, he was remain silent aed in -- arrested in guatemala. he was living a relatively normal life.

need to find a new white house counsel. the counsel is leaving after kavanaugh's confirmation process for the supreme court is completely. he's been key in helping to president nominate conservative judges to the bench. but his cooperation in special counsel roshl mule -- robert mueller's investigation drew the ire of the president. and rememb blake left for high school in san mateo on monday morning. his truck went off skyline boulevard, hit a tree, and fell about 45 feet down an embankment. today students wrote letters to him and decorated his locker with stickers and his picture to honor his life. a prayer service was held at the school. the school's administrators says black will be remembered as a kind and caring young man.

it's not clear what caused the crash. drugs and alcohol were not factors. and attempting to make the justice system equal for the rich and poor. california is getting rid of cash bail for people awaiting trial. opponents are gearing up for a fight. >> reporter: the bill was signed by the governor yesterday and it will replace the current cash bail system with a risk assessment system. the exact details on that are yet to be determined. the governor says this is the way for the rich and the poor to be treated equally. local judges will be deciding who can leaf jail before a trial without bail. under the new law, they would hold a criminal sment if they pose a risk to public safety or risk missings their court date. if not, most suspects would be released in 12 hours and it would be up to the countyings to set up the systems. >> it's not a good bill. it will put tens of thousands of criminals back out on the
