>> the me too movement and equality in the workplace. >> the amount of women now accusing him of sexual conduct detailed six previously incidents which allegedly took place between the 1980s and early 2000s. according to the magazine, they include claims that moonves forced them to perform oral sex on him, that he exposed himself to them without their consent and that he used physical violence and intimidation against them. moonves has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, though according to "the new yorker," he acknowledges what he described as consensual relationships with three of his new accusers. the magazine says he declined to say which three. in one alleged incident when moonves worked for lorimar tel pictures in 1986 he invited a fellow executive to lunch, drove instead to a secluded area and forced oral sex. according to the magazine, he held her head in place forcibly. in another allegation, almost a decade later moonves-- then the president of warner brothers-- was working out of the regency hotel in los angeles.

there he allegedly forcibly kissed a young assistant and aspiring writer and propositioned her saying, "i could help you. and if you do something nice for me, i could do something nice for you." "the new yorker" goes on to quote a third accuser describing moonves this way: "he is cunning, he's calculating and he's a predator." moonves previously described the allegations as part of a concerted effort by others to destroy his name. >> moonves would leave with no payment or the corporation could claw back part of the package eepending on the outcome of this independent sexual misconduct investigation. >> quijano: all right, tony, gank you. hurricane florence is gaining strength as it rumbles towards the east coast. people in the carolinas are bracing for potential disaster. esates of emergency have been declared in the carolinas and virginia. this comes as two other tropical storms are on the move in the atlantic. one could threaten the caribbean islands this week.

meteorologist dave warren is veacking them at wfor. dave, what is the latest? >> yeah, the latest is that it is a hurricane here and continuing to intensify, here is the latest satellite picture and that is where it is, moving west at 7 miles an hour, winds at 85 miles an hour. s e track here is going over some very, very warm waters so it could rapidly intensify thursday to friday, that is the time to watch as it approaches the carolina coast as a major hurricane and then along with it producing hurricane force winds up and down the coast. it will slow down from friday, lykely to saturday and sunday as it tries to work its way inland. that could lead to a flooding problem there as are you getting heavy rain over the same area. us busy for the rest of the week and the weekend as watch florence. busy in the caribbean as we catch tropical storm isaac. this could become a hurricane moving towards the west affecting the winward islands wednesday into thursday and the final storm that we're watching

go the atlantic, got to go east, ais is the eastern atlantic, this is hurricane helene, likely taying over the open atlantic nd it moves north and what goes from a hurricane into a tropical storm. so three main systems to watch. ygain it is thursday and friday time period in the carolinas for urricane florence. elaine, back to you. >> quijano: dave warren, dave, thank you. in the port city of charleston, south carolina, people lined up today for free sand bags. coleby satterfield has more from our cbs charleston affiliate wcsc. coleby. >> reporter: right now coastal communities in the carolinas are preparing for the worst as florence strengthens. here in charleston nearly all communities are under opcon3 meaning a disaster or emergency situation is likely. and even though it is the calm before the storm, people here in eouth carolina are taking that liriously. some shelves have already been cleared of water and sand bags are beginning to thin.

some gas stations even ran out of gas yesterday. all of this preparation under way as we watch the cone of uncertainty in the carolinas. potentially putting us right in florence's path. but it is not just the immediate affects this storm could bring that has people talking right now, but the flooding that it come with it and here in charleston it doesn't take much to flood because the city sits below sea level. oten is why a potential category four hurricane has people in this city preparing for the parit. for many people this storm is bringing back memories of hurricane hugo which devastated the city back in 1989. for now all is calm here in charleston as we wait to see what happens, elaine. >> quijano: alright, coleby satterfield, thank you. an explosive new book by bob woodward comes out on tuesday. rrrrent and former white house aides refer to president trump as an idiot and a liar. david martin spoke with woodward

president and summer zervos who zes once on "the apprentice" agreed to answer written questions for a new york court. the answers are due to the new york state supreme court by november 28th. answers are given under oath so any untruthful answers by the president potentially opens him up to perjury. zervos sued him last year after he said she lied. ae accused him of forcibly groping and kissing her about a decade ago. the president denies those charges. >> quijano: ed o'keeffe. ed, thank you. the dallas police department has identified the white officer who ittally shot a black man in his own apartment. officer amber guyger is now on administrative leave as the texas rangers investigate the thursday night shooting. guyger was heading home and says she accidentally walked into the wrong apartment. arficials intend to charge her with manslaughter. ygyger was investigated last year for shooting and wounding a man during a confrontation while

on duty. she was not charged. russian and syrian planes stepped up their assault on idlib, the last stronghold of onbels in serbia. there are fears the brutal seven .ear war could end with another mass slaughter of civilians. thbora patta is just across the border tonight in turkey. >> reporter: it took just 15 minutes for russia to unleash its military might on the syrian provinces of idlib this morning. during that brief time 17 air strikes rained down. among the dead, an infant girl. russia has been flexing its military muscle with renewed intensity after a turkish, iranian and russian power brokering summit failed to agree on a cease-fire, syria backed by its allies has been gearing up for an all out assault on the last remaining rebel stronghold in idlib and showed just what they were capable of today by dropping barrel bombs on

villages in the area. below there are nearly three rellion civilians. thlf of them have already fled from other parts of syria. there is nowhere left to go. and so they frantically prepare for war, stocking up on supplies and handing out makeshift gas masks. hae united nations has warned of the humanitarian catastrophe and nints to set up safe corridors, while turkey is considered about a new influx of refugees which they have no capacity to deal with. and so for now they have closed the borders here and have also sent in military reinforcements to the area, elaine. >> quijano: dire situation. debora patta, thank you. north korea put on a massive ceow of force today celebrating 70 years of independence. and for the first time in five ntars, the country held the so- mlled mass games. tens of thousands took part in a synchronized display of national unity. ben tracy has our report from

the north korean capitol pyongyang. >> reporter: nobody throws a military parade quite like north korea and this one certainly did not disappoint. more than 100,000 people crammed sto the main square in the ction's capitol of pyongyang. they paid homage to their leader kim jong-un. there were battalions of soldiers in goose step normation. north korea definitely showed hf its military hardware, but perhaps what is most notable is what was not in this parade. north korea did not parade its intercontinental ballistic missiles as it has done in other parades. that could be a sign that kim jong-un is serious about denuclearization, that he wants to negotiate with president trump. just this past week he said he had absolute faith in president trump, and that the president esid the two of them will work on the issue of denuclearization together. now while we have been here in the country we have noticed a change in attitude. a lot of the anti-american propaganda that you once saw

>> quijano: we end tonight in uilan, italy's bustling financial hub fueled by yountless shots of espresso, it's home to high end shops and leonardo da vinci's "last supper." it is also the first place in italy to now have a starbucks. as seth doane reports the american coffee giant is a big jolt to italian cafe culture. >> reporter: the company called it coffees version of willie wonka's factory. the 25,000 square foot roastery where beans shoot through tubes and coffee and ice cream are concocted in ways that seem more science experiment than neighborhood starbucks. this is really more of a theme park of coffee. they call it a reserve roastery.

with more than 27,000 stores in 78 countries, but none in italy until friday, starbucks had been coticeably absent in this country that invented espresso. while they have done away with american touches like the e,appachino here, they have imported american pricing. espresso here is the euro 80, a fall cappaccino five euros, that is well more than double you find in most places here. at camparino in gallonneria where howard schultz was said to have been inspired they have been brewing espresso for a ffeeury. coffee is traditional quick and traditionally consumed while standing at the bar. customer annalisa cataneo criticized american pronunciation, espresso, espresso. >> it's for tourists, come on. >> reporter: we met emanuele baroddsi in a long line on niening day but after a few minutes inside, this guy from

someone else. that's why we wanted a brand- new system. >> reporter: that revelation is the latest fallout from our exclusive report this week about a serious construction issue that could add months and millions of dollars to the beleaguered project. the valley transportation authority discovered in june that 1,100 used routers and switchers had been installed in the rail line's communications, computer and security systems. >> it's just like buying a new car versus a used car. you essentially don't know what that used car has been exposed to. so you buy a used router, you don't know what it's been exposed to. you don't know what security upgrades have been made to it. >> reporter: the vta says three companies illinois based aldridge construction, their partner san jose rosendin electric and subcontractor hsq technology were responsible for buying and installing the used equipment. the companies say they are working closely with vta to correct the problem, a problem that if gone undetected could have left the system exposed to attack. >>
