and two injuries in florida. in the carolinas people are getting stand bags ready to protect their homes. forecasters say the storm can bring up to 30 inches of rain in some areas. >> hurricane florence is a powerful hurricane. we have been watching this explode from a category 2 storm this morning, to a 3 and a 4. this is the very latest on hurricane florence, maximum sustained winds of 130 miles per hour, gusts up to 140 moving west at 13 miles per hour. a category 4 storm likely making landfall along the southeast coast of the carolinas, south carolina, north carolina, virginia. we are watching those areas likely with a dict hwithe categ thursday into early friday. let's talk about the other systems behind florence. we have hurricane isaac, a

you sigh there was a tree there that suffered the brunt of the impact before the bus you see the crews cleaning up the debris. before 6:00 this morning the bus driver crossed a median into on coming traffic before slamming into the tree and a business. four people were hurt including the driver who is in critical condition. at least one of the victims was a passenger. crews towed away the bus minutes ago. >> they use some of the vehicle on board the vehicle and pass it to the police department for the investigation. the police department and officials are interviewing people who were on the bus and might have seen what happened. >> investigators are looking into whether the driver suffered a medical in northern mandatory evacuation orders and rogue closures because of the wildfire have been lifted. the snell fire burned nearly 2500 acres a of it started --

botham. right now with his death, i can never give up. >> officer guyger has bonded out and is on paid administrative leave. omar villafranca, cbs news, dallas. a former police officer under arrest accused of threatening to harm cops and potentially a lot of families and kids. the stolen white suv came to a stop on a practice field after a wild series of crimes in fresno. gill roy police say the suspect stole the suv from a woman he knew. he drove to the school which was hosting a youth football game and called police. when police got there they say he drove on the field and accelerated toward an officer. that is when gill roy police say the officer fired at the car causing the suspect to lose control. the man has not been identified. one of television's most

powerful executives has resigned. leslie moonves has been forced to step down after an article detailing allegations of sexual misconduct. hena doba has more. >> reporter: the announcement that the head of cbs was stepping down came hours after the new yorker published an article detailing six more allegations of sexual misconduct all occurring between the 1980s and early 2000s. a retired television executive made one of the allegations. she says he forced her to perform oral sex and years later she claims he violently threw her against the wall. she says he absolutely ruined my career. a separate article in july details six other allegations. >> there is a disturbing pattern of aggressive and some would say predatory behavior toward people that were clearly

without having specific times, dates, other relevant details necessary to corroborate claims in the editorial. in pennsylvania officials say a gas line caused this blast early this morning. it happened around 5:00 local time in center township. people could see the orange flames glowing from miles away. the explosion set off several fires which destroyed a house and several cars. dozens of people were evacuated. amazingly no one was hurt. phone calls will start going out as part of testing all week of sonoma county's updated emergency alert systems. they were updated after criticism over the lack of response during last october's deadly wildfires that killed 25 residents in sonoma county. at the time emergency managers said they didn't want to trigger the county warning systems because it would have caused mass chaos. it was a decision many said was the wrong one. >> i think that a lot of lives

how cool are we talking? lowering temps to the 70s by mid week. wednesday and thursday will be much cooler. today mid low to mid 60s in pacifica. here is the extended forecast. we are looking at temperatures cooler on tuesday and then much cooler by wednesday and thursday. inland locations in the mid 70s for the bay and the mid 60s and then slowly warming up by the end of the work week and into the weekend. we have not seen temperatures inland in the 70s for quite sometime. it is a bit of a cool down. >> and a relief for a lot of people. today the talk returns for its 9th season. >> i am excited because this is my first official photo shoot. we had a great time. >> fun. that's what it is about.
