assessing the damage to a number of our craft possibly including f-11 stealth fighter jet. we have a team of correspondents in the disaster zone beginning with omar villafranca. >> the death toll continues to rise, four days after hurricane michael made landfall. several homes were pushed off their foundations by the strong storm surge 6789. >> superman. >> mark didn't want to give his last name but told police he tried to get his next door neighbor, an older man, to evacuate but he refused. >> another friend of mine found him. they are recovering the 3w0dee. >> crews are still looking for bodies and survivors in mexico beach. a small community bull doazed by the storm's 155 mile per hour winds and 14 foot storm surge. >> did we expect it to be to this degree. >> no. >> joseph zahralban is overseaing the search and recovery missions in mexico beach. he says 230 people road out the storm in this coastal town.

after an initial search of homes and debris piles, 79 people are still unaccounted for. >> today is the first day that we are focusing on debris piles. naturally occurring piles that were moved by storm surge and we're beginning to search those as well. >> workers cleaning up giant mownsd of debris with the claw are being told to keep watch for human bodies, which may be buried in the rubble of deses troyed homes. >> it is possible that you will find additional people, absolutely. >> zahralban says the body count could go up in mexico beach. but he hopes as communication improves, the list of people unaccounted for will go down. >> they might not have been accounted for, they can call in to their local eoc, to their local city hall, and advise that they are okay, or send word show that they are okay. >> cleanup teams will be here for weeks. this is just debris that they moved off the road. they haven't even started going

demarco, the mission statement at st. andrew is connecting people to jesus. right now the focus is to connect them with the supplies that they need to survive. >> morgan: jericka duncan, reporting for us, thank you. the king of saudi arabia spoke on the phone with the president of turkey go the disappearance of a saudi journalist. the leaders agree their nations will work together on the case. jamal khashoggi who criticized the saudi leaders was last seen entering the saudi consulate in istanbul turkey nearly two weeks ago, weijia jiang has the latest from the white house. >> on "face the nation" republican senator marco rubio, a member of the senate foreign relations committee spelled out what is at stake in the case of missing journalist jamal khashoggi with. >> there is the no enough money to buy back our cred ability on human rights if we do not move forward and take swift action on this, if and when it is proven to be true.

commissioner is defending the hunt. >> idaho fish and game commissioner blake fischer legally shot leopards, giraffes and warthogs on a recent trip to africa with his wife. but it was this picture, fischer smiling over a family of baboons, the bloody baby in its mother's arms that sparked outrage. fischer emailed the pictures to friends and colleagues saying first day she wanted to watch me and get a feel of africa, so i shot a whole family of baboons. the reaction was one of anger and disgust. including from prohunting groups like idaho for wildlife. >> it's not sportsman like, it's not ethical. in my book it's just almost immoral the way it's being displayed. >> we talked to their executive director steve alder over the phone. >> you are arrogant, pompous, you shouldn't be doing this, you are not acting responsible. hunting's a right and a privilege and we can loss it. >> idaho governor butch otter

rea appointed fischer to the post thisser yoo, one of seven responsible for preserving and protect the state's wildlife. some are comparing fischer's pictures with the controversial killing of cecil the lion by walter palmer in 2015. >> the u.s. dentist sparked an international outcry over big game hunting but he was never prosecuted because he had a legal permit. fischer told the idaho statesman i didn't do anything illegal. i didn't do anything unethical, i didn't do anything immoral. a group of former idaho fish and game commissioners are now demanding fischer resign. the governor's office told me he is concerned and looking into the matter. we tried to reach fischer but he didn't return our calls, prohunting groups do educate hunters to refrain from taking pictures with their kill out of respect for nonhunters. >> morgan: what a story, thank you. well, up next, a frightening moment at a bank. it's not a robber but a giant

>> morgan: a texas family faces a grim deadline tomorrowk a temporary restraining order to keep their nine year old daughter on life-support expires morched afternoon. payton summons has cancer and has been on life-support since she suffered a heart attack last month. hospital officials say she is brain dead and has no chance of recovery. the hospital reached out to dozens of other hospitals but none could help payton. students rallied at harvard university today before the start of a trial in boston thisk week. the ivy league school is accused of discriminating against asian americans. the protestors are defending the school and affirmative action. an anti-affirmative action group sued harvard in 2014 claiming the university illegally limits

the number of asian american students. harvard denyes discriminating against asian americans saying their rates of admission have grown in recent years. it could be a sequel to the action thriller snakes on a plane, a snake in a bank. this happened friday in nanning city, china. surveillance video shows a four and a half foot python falling through the ceiling and frightening bank tellers who had gathered for a meeting. they scattered as the snake slit erred on the floor. no one was hurt and the snaiblg is-- snake is in custody. in savannah, georgia, the hunt is on for a googly eyed vandal am someone put googly eyes o on an american revolutionary war figure nathaniel greene. officials say whoafer did it could be charged with criminal trespassing and more than $500 to repair the damage, if this cost, they could face felony charges. still ahead, 100 year old footage from the great war is brought to life in color.

>> morgan: to mark 100 years since the end of the first world war lord of the rings director peter jackson is bringing silent black and white footage of the war to life in a unique documentary. tina claus has the story from london. >> silent footage from world war one has come to life with color and voices added to the conflict. filmmakers scoured through 600 hours of old film and metic lusly restored scenes from the front line. they hired forensic lip-readers to reveal conversations between soldiers in the trenches 100 years ago. >> we had a couple of those people looking at the silent footage and telling us this guy is saying that and this guy is saying thatment and then we got actors to do those lines. >> the documentary titled they shall not grow old also includes historical interviews with former soldiers.

under contract but justin is a different kind of winner. and a role model. carter evans has this inspiring story. >> here he comes. >> for justin, running seemed like an impossible dream, he was born with cerebral palsy a neurological disorder that affects coordination and muscle movement. >> initially when he started running, he was falling. and he would have bloody knees and 90% of the time he would pick himself up and we would finish the runment. >> justin's dream wasn't just to run, but run fast. despite his disability, he can do a seven minute mile and now competes with the university of oregon running club. all that put him on nike's radar. >> at the end of a practice run, a company representative made a surprise announcement, justin would be signed as an official nike professional athlete.
