the fire burned all morning as firefighters sprayed water to try to stop its spread and while it has not been ruled arson yet -- >> we do know arsonists have been trying to burn down housing projects in oakland. >> reporter: winds carried embers from tarti this fire in between two homes at about 5:00 a.m. red cross workers already on scene snapped into action. >> people didn't have the clothing on, get their clothes on and get them out. >> reporter: about an hour later, this abandoned home caught fire, halfway down the block, and neighbors on either side -- >> i felt like i was -- the next thing you know they're telling us to open the gate there some fire again. >> reporter: an hour after that, he fire started in this shed after a tree that had caught fire fell o its roof. firefighters monitor the fire from above, using a heat sensing drone to find the fires

in oakland in the past few years. the east bay has seen major construction fires in recent years. just last month, july of 2017, another suspicious fire broke out in oakland at the corner of 23rd and valdes streets. just two blocks away from lake mary. in may have 2017, a six alarm fire gutted another apartment complex under construction on the oakland/emeryville border. the same complex was burned down in july of 2016. a man riding a bicycle was identified as the suspect in the emeryville fire. authorities release these photo shortly after showing a man wearing this hooded sweatshirt as he pedaled away in the middle of the night on the sidewalk. across the bay, in san francisco, crews trying to figure out what started a deadly fire in the inner sunset neighborhood. flames broke out around 3:30 a.m. chopper 5 flew over the home is crews investigated. we havat home died,

and the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. the cause of this fire is under investigation. the red cross is now helping the six people, including a child who were all displays. a new report lists 263 catholic priests in the bay area accused of sexually abusing children. the report was released today by a minnesota law firm naming 135 accused offenders in san francisco, 95 in oakland diocese, and 33 in the san jose diocese. earlier this month, the san jose diocese released its own list of credibly accused priests that only had 15 names on it. the law firm says the vast majority of the claims against the priests named in the court have been settled. not fully evaluated in civil court. a news conference will be held in about half an hour in san francisco, where victims are expected to speak. let's see how wall street is doing after a plunge to start the morning.

to kick off you'll have to wait a little longer. the upcoming crab season is set to kick off next month. if you're waiting to find out if there will be delays due to toxins you will have to wait a little bit longer. according to chronicle, the department of public health released from land marinara testing and found toxins in dungeness crabs. they were found to be clean, but health officials say it is too early to tell if they are safe to eat. testing is such a continue in the next three days. we will be right back.
