hearing reports of an officer involved in a car accident. we a workingn more about the car accident a inyou the latest as soon we get it. back to the early morning shooting. one person was killed in san jose before 2:30. s fired at the intersection of leigh and fruitdale avenue. one man captured this footage showing the moments shots rang out. witnesses say the shooting happened after a vehicle slammed into a patrol car. the police department has not given any details on what happened before the shooting. one person was killed in the gun fire and a woman heard the shots from her bed didn't think it was gunshots at first. it was christmas morning. >> i was laying there and i heard this rapid fire, very rapid fire. i thought because the railroad tracks are close by that maybe a big rig carrying some kind of

cargo was crossing over the tracks and making a lot of ki in addition to pe injured shootin tan to the hospital. that person is expected to live. a 20-year-old woman remains in stable condition after she was shot on christmas eve. the woman's car was shot mull parking lot times while she and several other passengers, including a two-year-old were inside. no other injuries reported and no leads on a suspect or motive. a man in pacifica got a phone alert motion was detected in his backyard. it wasn't santa claus. this happened at 4:00. two burglars broke into a home and ransacked it. when police arrived on scene, they saw one suspect hop a fence and run into the suspect. the officers chased the suspect and lost him. police have no new leads on the whereabouts.
