>> reporter: the crash happened a half-hour before sunre so it was dark where cars often hit freeway speeds. san jose police say after the man was initially struck, was hit another four times. the view from chopper 5 shows the yellow tarp and the debris field which stretches several hundred feet. spray paint marks the evidence of human and remains. investigators tip toed around the crime scene watching their step. it was a grim site and the 4th collision of the new year. san jose says a red pickup truck was traveling northbound in the far left lane between camden and redmond when the victim was hit. the driver fled the scene. another four vehicles coming down the road hit the victim, d ly-abed e en nicole puckett lived in the

according to bloomberg after last week's report from cal fire that found pg&e is not responsible for the deadly tubs fire. we reached to the utility but the spokesperson says we don't want to comment on market speculation. california's insurance commissioner says the claims for the deadly wildfires topped $11.4 billion. unclear whether pg&e equipment parked those fires. federal employees are back to work today with the longest running government shutdown in american history now over. but as nicole killion reports, it's unclear how long the government will stay open. >> streaming back into the office monday but many of them are wondering how long they will be allowed to work. >> i wish we could have gotten a full year instead of the three weeks, i hope everyone in
