♪ it's thursday, february 14th. 2019. this is the "cbs morning news." paul manafort's bombshell. a judge says he lied to investigators in the russia probe breaching his plea deal. congress food is ready to pass a bill to avoid another shutdown. the president has not yet said he would sign it. and today marks one year since the deadly school shooting in parkland, florida. the movement that was launched in the aftermath and the survivors that carry on.

good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. a federal judge has ruled paul manafort intentionally lied to investigators and a federal grand jury in the russia probe. the former campaign chairman for president trump was convicted of eight felonies, including tax and bank fraud last year. he also pleaded guilty to two more conspiracy counts and agreed to cooperate with the special counsel in exchange for pennsylvania lighter sentence. in a ruling yesterday a judge found manafort die are lied about interaction wgs the former business partner believed to have ties to the russian intelligence. by breaching his plea agreement, manafort could face life in prison. manafort remains in jill and set to be sentenced next month. congressional approval on a border security compromise is expected today. passage of the bill would avert a government shutdown.

threat to national security. a form air force counterintelligence specialist was indicted for giving classified information. david martin reports. >> for 11 years monica whitt used top secret clearance to spy on iran. first for the air force then as a government contractor. but she quit in 2010 and later according to assistant attorney general john demurs told the iranians about the secret work. >> what we alleged is what she provided was the identity, name of a secret intelligence program of the u.s. government as well as the identities of an intelligence officer. >> she first made contact with the iranian while attending an anti-american conference in tehran. after she returned to the u.s. whitt started texting with a go-between. a person holding dual u.s. iranian citizenship who was assessing her potential as a spy.

parts of california are bracing for more flooding today from heavy rains. southern california will see the heaviest rainfall, raising the risk of mudslides in areas charred by devastating wildfires. there are mandatory evacuation orders in some places, torrential rains hitting northern california yesterday. there was widespread flooding in the san francisco bay area. downed trees and high water shut down highways and roads. nasa pulled the plug upon a mars rover. a personial presidential candidate has died. those are the headlines on the

"the new york times" results reports on the death of lyndon larouche. he ran for president in every election from 1976 to 2004. he embraced a wide range of conspiracy theories and advocated for the overhaul of the world financial systems. he began his political career on the far left and ended it on the far right. his political action committee said that he died on tuesday. lyndon larouche was 96. new jersey.com says the state's five catholic dies cease released the name of 188 priests and deacons accused of accusing children over decades. more than 100 people on the list are dead. oerps removed from the ministry np new jersey joins more than two two dozen other states that named abusers. new jersey is investigating priest sexual abuse and looking into whether the catholic church kbrofl improperly handled allegations.

woman is trapped inside. good morning, everyone. it is february 14. i am michelle griego . >> good morning and thank you for joining us. i am kenny choi. here's a look at the map near the 101 with a mudslide ripping through a home. apparently the mud slid into the home, ripping the house foundation. you can see this video that is just coming into the newsroom. this has happened within the last hour and you can see the damage. >> looking at this damage and knowing someone was trapped inside but a short time ago authorities were able to pull out a woman. they pulled her out in a gurney and we are not showing the video right now. she was trapped inside all of this and amazingly survived. she the debris. apparently she was talking with neighbors and law enforcement that showed up t
