to marijuana convictions in san francisco. the da now says thousands of cases are getting tossed out. kpix5 anne makevec explains. >> san francisco is the first county in the nation to complete automatic expungement of marijuana related convictions, and idea they hope will re possessing marijuana is legal in california, there are tens of thousands of people dealing with repercussions of past convictions, can you petition the court to clear your record. but before this program, only 23 people in the city had done so. so the san francisco da's office teamed up with the nonprofit code for america to develop annal go rhythm to do it it automatically. in the last 13 months 9300 marijuana convictions have been5 felonihave reduced toemnors. >> if you are the mom or dad

the chinese stock market surged on the news that tariffs won't jump from 10% to 25% by the end of the week. wall street is also responding to the news as we take a look at the board, the dow is up, almost 100 points right now. r. kelly pleaded not guilty to sexual abuse charges. kelly is facing 10 counts involving 4 alleged victims going as far back as 1998. his bond is set at $1 million. his attorney expects him to post bail by tonight. kelly is due back in court on march 22nd. getting the spotlight at the oscars, the academy award winner with bay area ties.
