on the table. good afternoon i'm michelle agreeable. >> i'm kenny choi. they are agreeing with nearly a dozen items in the proposal. what they will not budge on. >> reporter: the teachers are encouraged by the results of the recent strikes in oakland and los angeles. while the union and the district have come to an agreement on 11 items that are still, still one major sticking point. >> san ramon valley 1700 teachers have voted 98% to authorize a strike. the two sides have come to an agreement on pay but there is an impasse in class size negotiations. a contingency clause that the teachers say would allow the district to withdraw any improvements after three years. >> that is unacceptable to our members. they want to have something firm on the class size. the

union said if the strike occurs it will happen in april. today a spokesperson said she is confident it can be avoided. >> we are concentrating on negotiations. we haven't started that process. should we go longer and not be able to find an agreement we will begin that. >>reporter: at this point no new negotiations are expected although both sides are going to be back at the table soon. >> the hill will be the class- size and getting the resources in making the opportunities that students need to succeed. >>reporter: if and when an agreement is reached the union will place this for a vote. the union is planning a rally outside district headquarters tuesday evening. in danville, kpix5. this pump on the heels of a strike resulting in an 11% pay increase and class size reductions. meanwhile richmond high school is closed again today following

tuesday's power outage. they sent out a message saying the ions repairs forced them to extend the closure. the goal is to reopen tomorrow. on doppler this afternoo a few spotty showers around the bay area but the rain is tapering off and the latest round has been nothing like the downpours we saw last week. in the past hour the sonoma county board of supervisors approved $2.5 million to be used to remove toxic debris from the flood damaged areas. how the funds will be implement them. >> so far they have not talked about this funding and that is why they are stepping up to help with this emergency. >> it's hard for people to lost everything walking down the road to see this trash. it wasn't there a week and a half ago. this was all the things that

, $50 million in flood damage. police say an officer tried to arrest a wanted fugitive when the shooting occurred in rockford, illinois 80 miles from chicago. floyd brown is in his car after he was stopped by police. for now the identity of the u.s. marshall has not been released. a former florida police officer has been convicted of killing a man whose car was stalled on the highway back in 2015. he shot corey jones while undercover and prosecutors say the officer never identified himself taking jones to leave he was getting robbed and led him to flee with his gun but never firing it. the officer faces life in prison. president trump's formal attorney, former suing the trump organization saying that the company broke a contract and refused to pay his

legal fees after he started to cooperate with federal prosecutors. he said he is owed nearly $2 million. in august he pleaded guilty to tax crimes and lying to congress and campaign finance violations. in a few moments manafort will learn his fate. he is in the courtroom today for the first of two sentencing hearings. he is facing 25 years in prison for charges of tax and bank fraud. sentencing is related to other counts of witness tampering and money laundering next week. the legal problems are stacking up for r kelly. days after posting bail for sexual abuse charges a judge locked him up for failure to pay child support. kelly talked about his money problems in an interview with cbs news. kenneth crag has more.>>reporter: r kelly remains in jail today and they said he will stay s up with

$161,000 in unpaid child support bills. before his latest arrest kelly discussed his finances in an king. >> how can i pay child support? how? my exe deroying my name and i can't work. how can i work? how can i get paid? how can i take care of my kids? how? >>reporter: last month he was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sex abuse. authorities say three out of the four victims were under age when these crimes happen. gayle king also spoke exclusively with two women currently living with kelly. savage is 23 and clary is 21. r kelly is 22. >>, 52. >> is it a three-way sexual relationship? i'm not here to talk about my personal life. i

more state workers are retiring with massive payouts for unused vacation and other leave. la time reports and analysis of the people data shows the state it employs nearly $300 million for thanked time off last year. according to the report much of the blame goes to lax enforcement of the rules. the seafood at the supermarket may not be what it says on the label. this group collected 449 samples from restaurants and small markets and grocery stores in 24 states in washington dc and found that one out of five samples were mislabeled. the biggest offenders were snapper and seabass. this can cheat consumers and they continue to find the vulnerable species mislabeled. it may not sound appetizing but it's the latest food craze. activated charcoal is showing
