investigators will be back at the scene of a massive fire on bethel island, today, looking for the source of the blaze that leveled three homes. it flared on taylor road yesterday just before 6:00 and quickly spread. neighbors complain into firefighters 15 minutes to get there because there are no fire stations on bethel island. the station shut down years ago during the recession. firefighters say there are plans to open a new station but they are stalled. >> we are building a fire house just down the road. it is still being built, it is not open yet . however, we don't have the staffing to open it yet. >> reporter: when cruise finally arrived, there were no obstacles, there were no fire

hydrants so they had to access the nearby levee for water. police and santa rosa are looking for a truck involved in a deadly hit-and-run early this morning after just one of clock a.m.. officers found a man lying unconscious on the shoulder, he was pronounced dead at the scene. highway 12 was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened. police say the vehicle they are looking for is a 2006 mitsubishi raider pickup truck. it is blue in color and should be missing the grill and the passenger side headlight. president trump is expected to enter his first veto after congress disapproved his emergency declaration for border wall funding. this morning, mr. trump arrived at the pentagon to talk border security with military leaders and they may attempt to upper right the video but lack the two thirds majority. meanwhile, north korea is threatening to ramp up its program.

the taste of the day is going to be with cluster tomatoes. back here, the tomatoes are all but gone and right now, is a lot of hothouse tomatoes but the #1 selling your after year for the last decade or so have been the cluster tomatoes. these tomatoes are great. i talk about them all of the time. they are still full of nutrients from the vine. they need to be nice and red. nice and red, nice and shiny and heavy. a backyard tomato. when you bring them home, simply store them on the counter and never in the refrigerator. the best thing about these tomatoes, you can make a salad, the prices are great right now.
