good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. we begin with breaking developments in last month's ethiopian airlines plane crash. they released preliminary findings this morning. they say the max-8 plane was valid and certified to fly and the pilots were experienced to fly this plane. authorities say the crew repeatedly followed safety procedures to try to avoid the crash but were unable to gain control.oae lled srtly after the plane took off from the ethiopian capital. investigators are focusing on the plane's anti-stall system which is suspected of pushing the nose of the plane down. it was the second crash of a boeing 737 max in five months. boeing and the faa told pilots after the lion air crash in indonesia last october, deactivating the anti-stall

system t manually should prevent a crash. the faa is doing more demos. boeing is doing flight demos and says it will continue to do flight demos in the coming weeks. meanwhile all planes remain grounded worldwide. former vice president joe biden has issued a new response to growing allegations by women who claim he touched them inappropriately. he says in a twitter video he gets it and will be more mindful. this comes as another woman is speaking out about her experience with biden which made her uncomfortable. laura podesta is here in new york with that story. good morning, laura. >> good morning, anne-marie. there are now seven women who are saying they had unwanted physical contact with the former vice president and he's defending himself in that video you mentioned. he said that touching was his language to motivate with people, connect with people, to show he cares. biden says he gets that times are changing, but, anne-marie, he never explicitly said sorry in this video.
