presidential adviser, stephen york with what it could mean for the immigration policy. good morning. >> good morning. there are plans of what the president plans to do to get tougher. sources tell the associated press, mr. trump is considering separating families at the border, again. more heads could roll. we are hearing the person who runs citizenship and immigration services is expected to leave as is dhs general council. a federal judge blocked the trump administration's policy of sending asylum seekers back to mexico to wait out their cases. he tweeted the ruling is so unfair to the u.s. it's not the first time the court stymied his immigration policies. this comes as the president overhauls the department of homeland security to get tougher on immigration. >> our country is full. >> reporter: so far, five senior officials have been purged as

mcaleenan will take over as acting dhs secretary. in addition to mcaleenan, rick perry and former acting attorney general, matthew whittaker could be in the running as a permanent replacement to kristjen neilson. >> thank you so much. three u.s. service members and a contractor have been killed in afghanistan. they hit a roadside bomb yesterday north of kabul. three others were hurt. according to a u.s. official, a car pulled over to the side of the road to let a convoy of american vehicles pass. as the convoy went by, the driver detonated the explosives inside. taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. a lawyer for a women arrested at president trump's mar-a-lago resort denied she was spying for china. yujing zhang is accused of entering the restricted area and lying to agents. a special investigation is

underway. jeff pegues reports on this. ri reporter: with yujing zhang jump suit, prosecutors told the judge, she lies to everyone she encounters, having changed her story multiple times as to why the 32-year-old chinese national was trying to get into mar-a-lago. she was able to talk her way through two check points before the clubs receptionist realized she had no reason to be there. at the time of the arrest, the secret service agent, yujing zhang was carrying two chinese passports, four cell phones and a thumb drive full of malicious software. prosecutors said a search of her room at this hotel uncovered a signal detector to locate hidden cameras, nine usb drives, five sim cards and nearly $8,000, most of it in 100 dollar bills. the fbi joined the secret service in looking at counter

in prison. president trump is demanding the kidnappers of an american tourist be brought to justice. kimberly sue endicott and her guide were released after being abducted at gunpoint inside a uganda park. security forces are hunting for her kidnappers who asked for $500,000 ransom money. u.s. and uganda officials denied paying for her freedom. at endicott's home, family and friends never gave up hope and prayed for a miracle. >> we are happy it had a good outcome as well as for her guide, too. we are looking forward to her coming home. >> uganda's president said his country is safe for travelers, but added they would strengthen security at national parks. coming up, an uber driver is accused of burglarizing a home after dropping off residents at the airport. measles outbreak.

country's longest serving leader. he's campaigned on his relationship with president trump pointing to the u.s. recognition of the sovereignty of the heights. another recent stop was moscow where vladimir putin arranged for the return of the remains of an israeli soldier missing. netanyahu is facing corruption charges, which he denies. his main challenger is former army general benny gantz. "the wall street journal" reports the spread of measles in the u.s. is accelerating with 465 reported cases so far this year. information released yesterday by the cdc shows the increase is being driven by an outbreak in new york city. most of the cases involve unvaccinated children in the orthodox jewish community. the suburb of rockland county has been particularly hard hit. it recently issued an executive order banning anyone unvaccinated under the age of 18 from public places.

on the "cbs moneywatch," the u.s. threatens tariffs on eu goods and a record number of americans will miss the tax deadline. diane king hall has more. good morning. >> good morning. the trump administration is considering imposing taur riffs on $11 billion of goods. it comes from the black of aircraft maker airbus. the world trade organization found the subsidiaries have an adverse reaction. aircraft, cheese and bicycles are among the product that is could be hit by tariffs. today, the fed's vice chairman will speak in minneapolis. investors are watching for clues on the fed's economic outlook. on monday, the dow closed down 83 points following a loss with boeing. the s&p 500 gained three and the nasdaq added 15 points. chuck e. cheese's parent company is going public, again.

cec entertainment, which owns the franchise will begin trading under the ticker cec in the second quarter this year. they are valued at $1.4 billion. pinterest filed for an ipo. the social media platform wants to sell shares between $15 and $17 via public offering. that could value the company up to $11 billion. the irs is expected to receive an unprecedented 14 million requests for filing extensions before the filing deadline on april 15th. lawmakers say it's because the irs is faced with more tax questions and more complicated returns. lawmakers say the number of extensions was so high, they considered whether the irs should consider moving the filing deadline back. >> wow. thank you so much, diane. >> you got it. still ahead, a new star on the yellow brick road.

service, tex alice and dhs undersecretary, claire grady. cbs news learned the personnel changes were engineered and directed by presidential adviser and immigration hard liner, stephen miller. more than a dozen parents accused in the college admission bribery scandal, including felicity huffman will enter a plea deal. we have the report. >> reporter: 12 parents charged in a college admissions bribery scream, have agreed to plead guilty. the "desperate housewives" star was arraigned in fraud and conspiracy charges. she and the others are accused of paying a consultant to get their kids in a prestigious school. they knew it was illegal. monday, huffman admitted to giving singer $15,000 to increase her daughters test scores. they had the girl take an s.a.t. with a proctor who corrected the

answers or coached the students during the exam. huffman felt deep regret and shame. she apologized to those who had gotten into college honestly. adding my daughter knew nothing about my actions. i have betrayed her. >> her pleading guilty, at this early stage shows she does, indeed, have remorse. it was very, very smart. >> reporter: under federal sentencing guidelines, huffman faced up to 20 years in prison, if convicted. according to the terms of the plea deal, prosecutors will seek a 4-10 month sentence. >> if you go forward and fight this case, you could wind up with a sentence that is a lot of time in prison. >> reporter: 20 accused parents have yet to enter a plea. among them is actress lori loughlin. she and her husband allegedly doled out a half million dollars
