new at noon, health officials giving an update on the scope of the measles outbreak in our state. emily turner is here with the latest numbers.>> michelle, most of the cases are in adults ternnal tlfromr ar but it is not at a crisis level, it says. there have been 38 confirmed cases which is 15 more than this time last week. according to the state health department, six cases were in

los angeles county alone, the site of one of four outbreaks in the state. the others are in butte county, sacramento county and san francisco. the bay area outbreak, you should know that the cdc has it controlled. he says that 14 of the 38 cases are international travelers who contracted the virus while abroad and then returned home and passed it along to 22 more people here. the cause of the remaining two cases is unaccounted for. nationwide, the cdc says 695 measles cases have been reported in 22 states. new york city faces the largest outbreak in the country with 390 cases reported. mainly in the old jewish orthodox communities. in the neighborhood more than 80% of the cases have occurred. anyone that is six months or older must get vaccinated or their families could face a $1000 fine. so far, no deaths have been
