there are reports right now that larry king suffered another heart attack. according to tmz, the 85-year-old tv broadcaster went into cardiac arrest at his home on thursday. he's reportedly in theexcted to be released some time today. new at noon, a local food bank is planning a major expansion as new data finds that hunger is a problem plaguing the bay area. kpix5 anne mackovec

has more on the plan to help close that hunger gap. >>reporter: this food bank serves over 140,000 people each week and now they have a new goal, distribute 50% more food by 2040. the food bank reached capacity in san francisco's dark patch. >> we're turning away donations and that's a bad thing. >> they continue to improve its services and a report shows low income residents in san francisco and marin missed over 35 million meals in 2017. down from a high of 62 million in 2013. combination of us doing more and getting more food in the community and we saw that there are fewer people below 200% of poverty living in san francisco. >> a lot changed. at first they didn't traffic produce and now it makes up 60% of their donations and they need more storage. they're adding 28,000 square feet of warehouse space
