s.w.a.t. teams. violent gangs across oakland formed alliances and became a super operation. >> reporter: this morning they arrested more than a dozen people, people they say were part of a super cell that was responsible for driving much of the violent crime across oakland. this raid won't on in the early morning hours. this is the product of a seven- month investigation. three groups in the city had formed an alliance that became this super game covering north, east and west oakland and they were involved in multiple shootings against their rifles. the search warrant included three different counties, sies s.w.a.t. the d atf. among the aratted rder, robberand conspiracy. >> the message is very clear,

that we are not trying to eradicate gangs. we're just trying to eliminate gang violence. it's important along the seals model strategy and keeping our promise to the community we're trying to minimize our footprint into what we're doing and how we're doing it. >> reporter: police recovered numerous weapons during the raid as well as a lot of stolen property. in addition to the arrest, it netted two dozen prior arrests. all of the charges will be forwarded to the alameda county district attorney. reporting live, anne makovec. the san mateo sheriff's office said dna evidence helped them solve a 45-year-old murder case and connect it with order murder that happarnd the llus law rcent was able to tie the two together.

they are praising santa collar clara technology and dna. one day after she went missing a delivery driver found her body along sand hill road. san mateo county concluded she died from strange go layings. they determined her murder was similar to that of leslie perlov. in the perlov case, male dna was found on evidence admitted by santa clara county. thanks to additional evidence, john getreu faces more charges for the murder of janet taylor.

m emily tuer at the ne berkeley student has been arraigned on multiple charges of sexual assault. his name is finn wolff. we do know that there are multiple sexual assaults involved from the date of november 2017 top present. in fact, two of the victims we're told were physically injured. they were either punched, grabbed or bitten. he was arraignedded to. at this point berkeley police believe there may be other victims out there. they want you to take a look at the mug shot. if you believe you are a victim of thiormewho is victof this ma come forward and tell the backerly police. in santa clara county, a
