rosa jr. college. we are taking a live look from chopper five over the same. not only chopper five but the sheriff's office as well and more then 200 police officers, responding to reports of the students on campus with the gun. all students told to shelter-in- place. officers are on scene investigating, making sure everything is okay. d.c. there were no threats of violence and so far no one has been injured. as you can imagine folks are really upset and parents are scared. santa rosa police are asking parents to go to the big lots parking lot on mendocino avenue to meet with officers there for more information. asking folks to stay away from santa rosa high school, to stay away from santa rosa jr. college while all of this on lockdown. they will be giving updates later. we have a crew getting ready to head to the scene and we will continue to monitor this for the latest. in the meantime we have video from inside the gymnasium of --

. >> reporter: the resolution will be voted on at the convention. there will be another convention before the state's primary happens reportedly in long beach. another chance to connect personally with voters. the state superintendent stepping into try to end a teacher strike. this is the ninth day teachers are on the picket lines. little progress involving the union and the school district. educators hoping that tony thurman will help the stalemate in the negotiations. >> now that officials are getting involved, they would use the power they have to make sure the school district gets the settlement that we desperately need. >> i think everybody realizes what is at stake. we can reach an agreement with the teachers to be with her students especially at this time of year.

>> reporter: they are asking for a 7% raise over the next two years. the district offering to present in a one-time bonus for teachers. educators indicated that vigils and actions will continue while negotiations are in session. the family of a man who died in a confrontation with san mateo county sheriffs deputies is seeking justice. it was announced today it is filing a lawsuit against the county. the deputy attempted to stop in for jaywalking near el camino real. the sheriff's office said he punched an officer before a taser was used on him but video released in march revealed that man was toews first. he was the third death in the county involving the stun gun last year. the deputy district attorney released a statement saying quote when the loss of life is always tragic we closed our investigation after an exhaustive review of the evidence established that the deputies acted lawfully in their encounter. we will have much more on this

what you want to tell california businesses that deal with mexico, which it they know? >> they should know first of all businesses are going to be hurt. california is the top state in terms of exports to mexico but importantly also consumers are going to pay higher prices for produce, cars, groceries. this is outrageous. again, this policy that has been put out by a tweet is outrageous. it will do nothing to address the humanitarian crisis that border. instead we should be looking at how we address the crisis on our southern border,, work with us to come up with a comprehensive immigration plan that includes humanitarian assistance. this is bullying again, this is what he does and this is outrageous and i hope the community understands this will negatively impact their business is thank you recovered serious issues. we wanted thank you for coming. blue and gold. >> a worriers.
