>> rorrve wracking. o hocidewithin 24 hours ofeachof detectives trying to figure out if they're related. the deputies were on this part of skyline boulevard looking for ce of a homicide that happened monday night. they heard someone yelling for help. they found a man lying on the ground with stab wounds. he died at the scene. they saw a man they believed to be the suspect driving toward them and the victim. a deputy fired at the car, hitting it. a suspect was then taken into custody and went to a hospital to be treated for cuts on his arm. >> scary. especially scary how close it is to my house and parks. >> reporter: a woman who lives close did not want to identify herself. >> we feel like everybody needs

motorcyclist died in a hit-and- run crash. mckayla maroney is at the scene of the crash along mission boulevard. >> reporter: you can see the wreckage from the crash. window of the car to preserve the crime scene. the driver now facing possible charges of vehicular manslaughter. the motorcyclist was a 20-year- old man who died at the hospital this morning. at about 5:25 a.m., he crashed in a car that made a left hand turn in front of him at mission and brown. the car's driver and possibly a passenger got out and ran away. but left clues in the car about the destination, the motel 6 less than a half mile from the crash site. >> investigators have two people of interest. >> reporter: police trying to determine who was responsible for the crash. >> we're using community cameras, cameras from the businesses to determine if we can catch who was driving the car at the time of the

collision. >> reporter: the charges will be up to the district attorney. but the fact that the driver ran away doesn't bode well for leniency. ks of so in the future? ho >> dongsill rk we just want to make sure that all the parties take responsibility for what happens. >> reporter: both of the licensed drivers and they don't know yet if dui or speed played roles in the crash. and police reopened mission boulevard about ten minutes ago. and santa clara, a crash sent four people to the hospital. chopper 5 flew over the aftermath before 10:00 this morning. this is at foothill expressway and al monte. no word on what led to the crash. and police are looking for the gunman responsible for two shootings on 680 in less than two days.

the latest happened last night on the southbound lanes in east son jose. a 12-year-old girl was hurt by shattered glass and is expected to be okay. the chp is trying to gather details on what happened. this comes one night after a man was killed in a shooting on 680. police located his vehicle in the center median north of landis avenue. the victim is 30-year-old matthew rios. no word on suspects or a motive. the chp is investigating a third freeway shooting. a bullet struck a car on highway 17 last night. the driver is not hurt. today, united nations is pointing a finger at the saudi arabia crown prince for the killing of jamal khashoggi. last year, the journalist visited the con sol lateral in instan bull to get a marriage license and was never seen again. he was a prominent critic of the crown prince.

the saudis denied he was behind the murder. >> what needs to be investigated is the extent to which the crown prince knew or should have known of what would have happened to jamal khashoggi. >> today's 101-page report is calling on the u.n. to launch a criminal investigation into the 31-year-old prince and suggests sanctions on the actions abroad. for the first time, lawmakers hearing from one of president trump's most trusted former aids. former communications director hope hicks testified booindz closed doors today before the house committee. lawmakers asked her about the mueller probe. but so far, hicks hasn't talked about anything that happened during her time at the white house after its lawyers argued executive privilege protections. >> i'm watching obstruction of justice in action. the white house is asserting community. it doesn't exist.

4 degrees cooler in hayward. san jose, 5 degrees cooler. and that's compared to yesterday at this time. and here's the ridge of high pressure that's still in control. this upper level low is going to push and generally affect the pacific northwest. it will kick the ridge a little bit part to the west. with it, stronger on shore flow. the stronger marine flubs and today, the start of a cooling trepd for us. just a little bit of a cooling trend. through the rest of the oog at skies clearing and the clouds retreating to the coast. tomorrow, low clouds and areas of fog along the coast and parts of the bay. and afternoon sunshine. and as we look ahead to thursday and friday, we are trending cooler because of the upper level low. that stronger marine influence means temperatures cooler compared to today. the sunset, 8:34. the sunrise, 5:47.
