county jail last night and they have not released his mugshot yet but he is facing charges of murder with several special circumstances. we're now working on the details background as to why would he have decided to lure these two innocent victims to that location to murder them? >> district attorney says there is no apparent connection between the two victims either. the first, his friend said a strange man called his cab the night before he was kid saying he wanted to leave his bmw along skyline boulevard. on monday night, he was found by a deputy on patrol. then on tuesday night, -- >> we have a male, multiple stab wounds. >> reporter: as officers were looking for evidence in the first murder, they heard a man screaming. the joe truckdriver had been stabbed and their suspect was still on the scene. >> shots fired. >> reporter: deputies shot at

crash. in sacramento, the community is remembering officer tara o'sullivan who was gunned down yesterday while responding to a domestic violence call. new details on the investigation and the man police say is responsible. well, we still have that area roped off by police. you can see the yellow tape but right above it are blue ribbons and they are tied to poles and trees around the area remembering tara o'sullivan. they are collecting evidence and talking to neighbors. there is a sign that reads we have no comment at this time. please pray for the families impacted by this shooting. people who could not return to their homes after the shooting are now being allowed back in. they said it was nothing compared to the loss of officer o'sullivan's life. they had to find a place to sleep on wednesday night. a hotel with a friend or some sleeping in their car. many will be checking for

let's look at the big board and see how the stock market up abo bart is getting a huge infusion of cash to help overcrowding. they gave them more than $300 million for work on the trans bay tube. it is the first chunk of the grant. the money will pay for more than 300 now cars and a new train control system. the upgrades will allow 30 trains per hour to pass through the train tube up from the current 23. >> right now from 4 to 6:00, it is rush-hour and the trains are packed especially going to antioch, richmond and all that area so this will definitely help. the change means no more short trains will run through the tube. bart wants to expand the facility and boost traction power. dt a is planning for a possible strike by trying to find bus drivers willing to cross the picket line.

they said it would keep the most popular bus routes running. however, light rail service would be suspended. they call it the final salary offer. testing is under way for what could become the first air taxi without a pilot. testing is being done at a rural oregon airport. it is called the hannah. the battery powered aircraft can hit speeds over 100 miles per hour and flies up to 35 miles. the idea of beating traffic is promising but those 18 to 24, only one in five said they would fly in something without a pilot. >> we want to demonstrate perfect safety and real added value for the customer. this is about going in a convenient and safeway. >> developers say one of the challenges is test flights only last a few minutes. they need to come up with batteries that let planes fly

beginning of summer comes a slowdown of blood donations. the american red cross says only 3% of eligible people donate blood and even fewer donate during the summer months. it is affecting people like lisa who has several auto- immune disorders. her doctor could not locate the monthly chemotherapy she needed because of a lack of blood donors. >> this has kept me out of the hospital and it completely gives me a quality of life that i don't have when i'm off of it. if you can donate, you can get more information at redcross.org. a shelter is trying to find foster homes for dozens of sick dogs. at least 100 have been quarantined after a flu outbreak.
