argument airport. >> reporter: this process will be a lengthy one. the part of the taxiway is known as taxiway z, where landings and takeoffs are practiced and where a 62-year-old was killed. he was in a four seater helicopter known as a robinson r44 teaching a student to fly and it crashed yesterday. chopper 5 pilot says the helicopter had controls on both sides, much like a student driver vehicle. >> something probably happened and he either didn't take control fast enough, that happens quite a bit. or the student may have overpowered him. >> reporter: the student survived. but the condition is unknown. the flight instructor worked for pacific helicopter. pilots we've spoken to believe all of the lessons have been canceled. pacific helicopter has not

gotten back to us. the ntsb says the helicopter will be removed sometime this afternoon. it will then go to a secure site for processing and examining. they hope to release a preliminary report in the next two to three weeks. a large police presence in sacramento. deputies and s.w.a.t. crews and a armored car responded after gunshots in an apartment. a male suspect is inside the second story apartment. officers are working to evacuate the complex. people are being urged to stay away from the area between watt. and federal prosecutors will not bring civil rights charges against a police officerf eric . his dying words, i can't

targeting four democratic congresswomen. >> they should love our country. they shouldn't hate our country. you look at what they've said. i have clips right here. the most vile, horrible statements about our country, about israel, about others. >> reporter: the resolution strongly condemns president trump's racist comments that have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of americans and people of color. . >> he's launching a blatantly racist attack on four elected members of the united states mouse of representatives, all of whom are woman of color. >> reporter: the president appears to make attacks on the congresswomen a 2020 campaign issue. >> we're going to have problems down the line. so i think that's one reason. but also as i learned in kindergarten, you know, treat people with respect. >> reporter: even republicanswhs

similar to medicare. and he wants to curb prescription drug prices. it would cost $750 billion over ten years. tomorrow, sanders is expected to reveal his plan, medicare for all. and california attorney general is calling on the federal trade commission to focus on trade issues, including preventing people from jumping ship for better pay. noncompete clauses hurt workers and you have the opportunity to use the authority to benefit all americans. in california, we're already setting the pace with labor laws that protect against the practices and we urge the federal government to follow suit. he joined other states and the district of columbia in the letter. it hurts workers' wages and harm

. authorities in union city investigators a collision involving a jointed ac transit bus and a car at the intersection of niles roads around 4:30 this morning. fire officials say both drivers and three bus passengers were taken to the hospital. they're all expected to be okay. authorities in river side county recovered the body of a

gas utility worker killed in a house explosion. the blast happened yesterday afternoon. 15 people were also injured. debris scattered after the explosion damaged homes and at least four properties are red tagged. investigators say that the contractor punctured a gas service line and he hadn't called the gas company to have the lines marked. >> quite a few people were injured. people running down here to help out. there was glass and the roofing was everywhere. thetof the feets were cut. it was pretty chaotic. >> authorities say the 15 others injured spent the night in a red cross shelter. efforts of repopulating the neighbor will continue this afternoon as inspectors assess the extent of damage in the homes. and this just in to the newsroom. a federal judge has ordered r. kelly to be held without bond in a chicago jail on sex crime charges. the singer pleaded not guilty to

those charges. the indictments released friday allege that kelly recruited girls and women to have illegal sex with him. and he tried to cover up the crimes by paying and threatening victims and witnesses. and authorities in greece made an arrest in the case of a murdered oakland scientist. suzanne eaton was found dead in crete. a 27-year-old man confessed to killing her. he hit her twice with his car and sexually assaulted her and dumped the body in a cave. a second man was also defeigned. and wall street, 40 minutes to go. the dow is up 11 points. and 50 years ago today, three astronauts launched on the trip to the moon. the mission is considered one of
