griego. >> i'm kenny choi. it happened in livermore. chopper 5 was over the scene as police collected evidence. anne makovec is live with the details. >> reporter: the man was shot and killed here in the parking lot. you can see the soap bubbles left behind from the cleanup effort. the man is on the run and considered armed and dangerous. this is the man police say shot and killed another man this morning with a rifle. 30-year-old had an argument at around 4:00 a.m. in the parking lot between walmart and kohl's. >> they knew each other and it was a feud between the two of them that led to the suspect pulling the firearm and shooting at him. >> reporter: this were transients living near a nearby creek. he's believed to be driving one of two vehicles, a white ford

explorer, or a motor home with this license plate. >> we have good information that they're not in town. there's no threat to the public that they're fleeing and trying to hide. >> reporter: a bit of relief for shoppers, including this woman. she says the climate of violence has her on edge. >> yesterday, i was in safeway and heard a balloon pop and i ducked. and it was a balloon. . >> reporter: there were a lot of witnesses around, even though it was 4:00 in the morning. this is a 24-hour walmart and it was open at the time. there are several surveillance cameras in the area. the police are reviewing the videotape. live, anne makovec, kpix5. and a severe traffic alert. a live look to the bay bridge. it looks like rush hour. you are stacked up at the toll plaza back under the flyover to the maze and beyond.

alarmsounded ande, fire trucks, and ambulances arrived. there has been so evidence of a shooting and they have not found anyone with a weapon. and in san francisco, the montgomery b.a.r.t. station is back open after a man ended up on the tracks. that happened an hour and a half ago and b.a.r.t. briefly shut down the station. the condition is unknown. b.a.r.t. is experiencing delays. and happening today, the criminal dubbed the ski mask rainist is set for a parole hearing. jackie ward with the new law that could set him free. >> reporter: these officers are the ones who led the original investigation back in the 1980s. this afternoon, the criminal dubbed the ski mask rainist is set to appear at a parole hearing. george anthony sanchez was sentenced to 406 years in

prison. yet today, a parolarle certain inmates to be considered for parole. he's 58 years old, on the younger side of the elderly parole program's age range. since he committed the crimes before the age of 26, he was granted youth. offender status which makes him eligible for the hears. some have spent decades in intense they're. we found video in 1987 when investigators were working the case, showing the evidence, a gun, gloves, and a mask. he was convicted of 25 rapes in the bay area in the 1980s. housed at the correctional fatality where the parole hearing will be held. jackie ward, kpix5. and a verdict in the warehouse trial could come as soon as tomorrow. a jury is weighing the fates of

a little bit of clearing here on the sfo cam. temperatures are running at 77 in concord. 62 in oakland. 77 livermore. 58 in san francisco. son jose, mid 70s. the 24-hour temperature change, we are 5 degrees cooler in oakland. 5 degrees cooler in mountain view. and 7 degrees cooler in livermore. and that is the trend with temperatures cooling down as we head through the next sefrlt several days. the on shore breeze will increase over the next several days. temperatures will be cooler. below average temperatures today and then we'll continue as we go through the workweek and the start of the weekend. on futurecast, you can see we are going to start to see clearing eventually. inland, you're catching the sun. for tomorrow morning, again, waking up to low clouds and areas of fog and temperatures cooler for thursday and friday.
