he was released from custody without electronic monitoring wednesday much to prosecutors' dismay. >> the nature of the charges. >> reporter: vincent was charged with two felony counts of false imprisonment and attempted robbery and two misdemeanor counts of battery. he pleaded guilty to this judge who made the call to release him today. she said she hadn't seen the video before making the decision. she saw it on tv.

a masse track replacement project begins tomorrow between orinda and walnut creek stations. uchiway 24ar cotion on the ack mpory doo eabound lanes. on modrivouldexct delays of up to 30 minutes. bart will offer free buses to replace train service between orinda and walnut creek. the 50-year-old track on bart's busiest line is badly deteriorating. to rebuild it, crews need to narrow the road way to haul in a crane. >> we want to get the message out to motorists that it would be good to avoid this area. they have a couple of tools at their disposal. they can take a look at quick maps and see how traffic is flowing in realtime. >> bart rider cansic perfect delays of 40 minutes or more along the antioch to mill born line. california is leading a pack of states in court to

to bar her from entering. nikole killion reports. >> reporter: congresswoman talib says she will not go to israel after all. israeli leadership allowed friday to for her to visit her grandmother in the west bank as long as she promised not to discuss a boycott of israel during her stay. something she had initially agreed to do. but, in a tweet this morning she said i have decided that visiting my grandmother under these oppressive conditions stands against everything i believe in. fighting against racism, oppression, and injustice. the israeli prime minister had banned tlaib and omar, both muslim, because of a support of israel over its treatment of palestinians. netanyahu was responding to pressure from president trump who suggested the prime minister should ban the democratic congresswomen. >> i think it would be a terrible thing frankly for israel to let these two people

bomb squad surrounded that area. the entire block evacuated at the peak of morning rush hour. the bomb squad inspected e police were concerned they were pressure cooker bombs. officials now saying that the devices were not explosive and then turned out to be empty rice cookers. two were found at the subway station. and another on the street. the police say that they are connected. nypd also had this to say, saying this man was caught on camera placing them inside the subway station. >> because of the time, the timing and the placement and the items, we are carrying a hoax device. that's the investigative category. >> police scoured nearby stations in an abundance of caution, but nothing suspicious turned up. looking live from our exclusive sales force tower camera at the transamerica pyramid. san francisco skyline staple may soon be up for full sale for the first time ever according to the san francisco

right now, authorities outside denver, colorado searching for two juveniles who may have started a 25-acre wild fire yesterday. more than 300 homes near the deerpark canyon fire were forced to evacuate. witnesses said they heard explosions in the area of the fire. and, two boys were seen running away. and the winds are working in the fire crews' favor. and the blaze is now 50% contained. president trump is reportedly eyeing a new and unusual real estate purchase. the wall street journal reports the white house council's office has inquired about the united states buying greenland from the danish government. according to the journal, the president has raised the issue with aides multiple times. greenland is home to the u.s. military's northern most base. the big draw is the island's early warning system that can detect intercontinental ballistic missiles. but the island's government says it is not going to happen. the prime minister issued a

statement today saying greenland is not for sale and cannot be sold but it is open for trade and cooperation with ore countries including the united states. r le. one of the biggest names in nascar is safe this morning. dale earnhardt jr. and his family miraculously walked away from this fiery plane crash. dramatic footage from the scene showing the nascar star and his family running away from this fiery wreck after the plane ran off the runway in tennessee yesterday afternoon. paramedics were also seen tending to earnhardt but he managed to escape uninjured along with two pilots, his wife, and their one-year-old daughter. >> according to some witness statements, just after it hit the ground, it started burning. >> were the planes coming from an area they would have been sitting? >> i'm sure they were. yes. >> officials say the plane hit a fence that wrapped around the aircraft, but did not block the

door leading out. the 44-year-old earnhardt is a third generation race car driver. he earned the titlnascar's most popular driver. a whopping 15 times before retiring back in 2017. the ntsb is now investigating the crash. new at noon, a texas teen is fighting for his life after being sucked into a drain at a water park. a day of fun turned into tragedy last weekend at the fun town water park outside of galveston. deputies said a teen opened a drain inside of a pool and got sucked in. >> my understanding, it may have been on a dare. he is a large 14-year-old. he is my size. 5' 11". and, he picked it up. and when he did that, he slipped into the intake. >> an employee shut the pipes off but the damage had already been done. the sheriff's office says the teen was able to escape. but he sustained serious injuries. deputies are still investigating. stunning new video out of florida showing a very hungry shark fighting ptn

bit of some relief from the heat. this area of low pressure up to our north, that is going to slide into british columbia into the pacific northwest. and, that will usher in a stronger marine influence. temperatures will be dropping to below average as we head into the weekend. you can see the sun as we head into tomorrow morning. low clouds and areas of fog along the coast and parts of the bay right through the golden gate gap. that's the start of on shore flow kicking in for us. and it really gets going for saturday and for sunday. so, quite breezy with westerly to southwesterly winds. cooler sunday as the low pressure system will be just off the oregon coast, our sunset at 8:01. so daytime highs for today. looking at hot conditions. fairfield, livermore, in82 oak mid 70s for san francisco, a

taking a bite out of climate change, one u.k. university has decided to ban beef. burgers, burritos, anything else with beef will be off the menu at gold smith's university of london when classes start in september. it's a decision the student union made with school staff to try to reduce carbon emissions. and the reaction is definitely mixed. >> i don't like people just

getting like, banning it outright. food is a big part of the culture here. >> i want to see what we are doing and do the same. >> this school is not the first to take the initiative. cambridge began cutting back on beef and land in 2016. campus is moving hard into the boozey seltzer market. four will have three times more than other hard seltzers like white claw that bubbled up this summer. it is known for pushing things to the limit. it stopped caffeinating its canned malt drinks after they were banned in several states. the increase in frequency in severe events pose a real threat to your home's power. power outages are growing. and lasting longer than ever before. when the power goes out, you have no lights.
