live from the cbs bay area studios, this is kpix 5 news. >> streaming on cbsn bay area good afternoon. i am kenny choi. today the b.a.r.t. board of directors held its first meeting since the deadly stabbing on a train and kpix 5's jackie ward says they used the public comment time to sound the alarm. >> reporter: b.a.r.t. employees told me speaking at this meeting is the only way they feel their voices can be heard and they constantly feel like they're under a gag order. >> i have witnessed someone's life been taken pick their safety issues i was not trained to handle.

>> reporter: this woman is a new b.a.r.t. station agent including the station where oliver williams was stabbed to death and b.a.r.t.'s directors held a moment of silence for williams at the beginning of the meeting but after that the message was loud and clear that b.a.r.t. employees want to go safer and they want passengers to feel that same level of security and they propose all cars be moved to the back of the trained and passengers cannot pass through forcing them to stay in that car even during an emergency. >> when you're being attacked, having a camera is not going to help you. having access to getting away from the situation could help you. >> reporter: on tuesday this man was trying to steal issues off of a sleeping b.a.r.t. passenger went on for williams stepped in and tried to stop him . crimspree continues m to death
